What ways do you use to gain traffic?

I've started a few blogs last year and I've linked them together actually and I've been struggling to find ways to bring traffic to my site.
I've finally found one way that worked for me and that is through submitting articles to article directories. I'm already beginning to see a little difference in my experience. I know of other ways as well. (I haven't quite gotten to them due to my satisfaction in article directories)
What techniques are you using and how are they working for you?

linking blogs together is a good way to get abit more traffic. there are many different ways of doing it. i think if you look for tutorials on how to do it then you might get what you are looking for.
