I've watched some of Sergio Leone's movies and being only 26 of course I had to get used to these types of movies.
With Once Upon a Time in the West, I found myself amazed with the camerawork, the cinematography, the acting, the music, the suspense. When I make my film I am definately taking inspiration from Sergio Leone.
"Once Upon a Time in the West" is my new favorite movie. Movies like "The Dark Knight" actually feel old compared to this movie for some reason.
"Once Upon a Time in the West" has a sense of art and expression that is missing from most of todays recent films.
If you are into westerns, appreciate good storytelling, and can stand long, slower paced films, then I recommend this film to you. (I personally am not particularly into westerns but good storytelling and filmmaking is universal)
Anyone else have seen Once Upon a Time in the West?

I've seen this movie. One of the things I remember was the way Henry Fonda looked. I don't now if his hair was darker or what. It may also have been the way the camera captured some ofte actors eyes. Fonda for one and Charles Bronson for another. Another thing about the movie is that, nlike some of the earlier Italian Westerns, they brought in several American character actors to fill in the supporting roles. That gave the movie a different feel although you still knew it was an import.
