Why Do You Think iPhone Should be Jailbroken?

i am an iPhone 3G user and been fascinated by apple's mobile phone through its feature and the availability of the applications on iTunes where most of the products are for sale. for the first year of using my iphone, i really took pride telling it to my friends and its difference compared to other mobilephones such as NOKIA and SonyEricsson because there are few iPhone users in our country. but as i took pride of it, i felt that my iphone is very self-centered because i cannot change SIM, transfer pictures on other mobilephones via bluetooth. i was really pissed with the fact that i can't even receive the pictures i wanted from my friends except if i will sync via pc/mac. until i met an old friend who also own an iphone and he's using another SIM card and can transfer bluetooth file to mobile phones. i asked him how did it happen that he was able to do it and shared me about jailbreaking an iphone.
i asked him to help me jailbreak my iphone but he doesn't :(..this led me to an extensive googling (lol) and video surfing with the keyword "jailbreak iphone 3G". as i went to learn more about this jailbreak, i also understand the risk of jailbreak which might destroy my gadget. and it's where i can't decide whether i jailbreak my iphone or not.
should i jailbreak my iphone or not? WHY?

definitley jailbreak it. theres basically no limitations when jailbreaking it. bunch of useful apps the apple store doesnt have and youre able to customize to make it unique in your own way.

You should jailbreak because you can do much much more with your iPhone when it's jailbroken. It's like upgrading your phone. When I first jailbroke, I was bragging to my friends and then my friends wanted to jailbreak too!

Unless you are experienced don't do it. Besides the Iphone 4 will be available and all you need to do is to put in a sim card. You can get it at the Apple site.
If you cannot afford to jailbreak it yourself, go to someone who can and will not damage your phone, but beware as some of the applications may not work on it anymore.

well my brother had his iphone jailbroken but it didn't seem to cause him any problem... So i guess it's safe to say that go have it jailbroken by people who really do jailbreaking, maybe it can minimize any bad effect or anything... good luck!

If you want to maximize the use of a gadget that you purchased, by all means jailbreak your iPhone. Especially if your iPhone is out of warranty anyway, there's nothing that should stop you.
You should not let Apple stop you from full customer satisfaction of their products.

The iPhone 3G is definitely worth jailbreaking. I've jailbroken my iDevices about 10 times now, and it's only gone wrong once, and that was my first time because I wasn't using the right jailbreaking software. The iPhone 4 is not worth jailbreaking because it has most of the features you get from jailbreaking anyway.
