Pacquiao right now is certainly the best pound for pound boxer and Duran is absolutely an all time great. Many boxing experts are comparing Pacquiao to Duran because they have many similarities. Both of them defeated some of the best fighters in in their weight class and both of them are considered as national heroes in their respective country. Duran even stated that Pacquiao reminds himself of him when he was younger. Who do you think will win in this fantasy match up, if they fight in junior welterweight or welterweight?

This is a very tough match up. I also had imaginations on who will win this fight. Well, here's my breakdown, Roberto Duran is a naturally bigger fighter than Manny Pacquiao. Duran fought great fighters during his boxing years but as he advance in weight his success in winnings and knockouts diminished. Unlike Pacquiao who has a winning streak since his last loss to Erik Morales and an increasing knockout percentage in a championship fight, Duran technically showed decrease in power, speed, and reflex as he moved up weight. If they were to fight at welterweight or junior welterweight, I would pick Manny Pacquiao. The reason is because Manny never fades from round 1 through 12. I have seen Duran slowed down when moving up in weight. Duran has trouble with fighters who has speed and footwork. Example is his fight with Sugar Ray Leonard and Esteban De Jesus. I pick Manny Pacquiao to win by technical knockout late rounds.

Very very tough. Both are Legends and both. Duran started his career at 135 (lightweight) while Pacquiao has gone up from 106 which makes Durant the naturally bigger/stronger guy. Both are sluggers, both are hard punchers. What Pacquiao has that Duran doesn't however is the amazing work rate and punches from weird angles which i think gives Pacquiao the advantage over Duran. Pacquiao has also proven that he can break down larger opponents with his blazing speed. A late KO or Unanimous 12 round decision for Pacquiao at either weight. But a definitely extremely close one.
