Personally, I like taking notes by drawing pictures because I think a vivid picture may help people remember what noted. Formerly, I just write what the teache is writing on the board and then I forget everything after the class. Then, I change the way of taking note to drawing pics according to the class content.
By the form of pics, I concentrate and think more on the class and pics also give me a deeper impression on the content. So I sugggest you to transform the characters on your note to pics. Isn't is an interesting way?

some people learn best with graphics and illustrations while others with texts and words. a good combination of both is what i sometimes try to achieve.

hie enix, i always take notes in points form. at the sides of the notes, i write a comment if i have any. i usually sketch in pictures what was lectured so as to remember the theme of the lectures. i love to make a gist or summary of what was taught by the teacher and possible discussions. what do i get out of the teachings? my point of view.

That won't work for me. But its amazing how you can do that. Seems you have a very artistic mind.
