Need advice! A must have for a new born baby

I am preparing all the things that I need for my baby although I do not know yet the gender of my baby so I choose plain white color baby dress. I am so excited for my 1st baby and I want to have all the items special.
How about you? How do or did you prepare for your baby?
I just wanna know so that I will have additional idea or maybe I forgot something which is important for the preparation. Please do give me some pointers on how to look or inquire for the best items for my baby...

I've been buying a pack of diapers whenever I can so when my son comes I'll have a good supply before I need to buy anything else. I've also been buying clothes in different sizes just so I'll have a variety depending on his size. Baby clothes are always on sale, so you should be able to find good deals. My husband and I got my son's nursery furniture last weekend and I got a bundle deal on that for $199. Be careful buying furniture online though unless you know the company and quality is good. I'm waiting on my baby shower before I really buy anything else, but the diaper idea has been some of the best advice I've gotten. Sign up at Huggies and Pampers' websites so you'll get coupons and they both offer reward programs. Also, look into buying the book Baby Bargains. It has tons of information for what the baby needs and where you can find quality products that are affordable.
