Is Daniel Craig lame as James Bond?

Do you think that Daniel Craig is any good as James Bond?
Me personally, I think he is awful, I really do not understand why they used him and think they should replace him.
Why does he have blonde hair? Bond has always had dark hair, also he seems so cocky.
The other thing, the first movie Craig was in was supposed to be before he got his licence to kill (a kinda reboot if you will, which I guess would allow the blonde hair) but they kept the same "M" (a woman!) but the original stories he was a man.
So what do you think?

The first Bond movie I saw at the cinema was The Living Daylights, and I thought Dalton was pretty good, despite the fact he was a mere stopgap while they waited for Brosnan to be free due to contractual obligations.
Sean Connery is awesome, and I do wonder if he will cameo at some stage in the newer Bond movies...perhaps as a bad guy? I think that would be pretty kickass if that happened!

My first was "The Spy Who Loved Me", so I really started with Roger Moore.
Maybe Sean could come on as Q? Hmm, well maybe not...

Although The Lving Daylights was the first Bond movie I saw at the cinema, the first Bond movie I actually watched was Live And Let Die, which was awesome, and also my fave Bond theme too!

Yes Daniel Craig is lame as James Bond, Casino Royale was barely watchable and Quantum of Solace was $hit.
I don't know how Skyfall would be when released, it seems Skyfall would be another boring James Bond ...

I don't think it really matters what colour hair James Bond has, it's the characterisation that is important. I honestly think that Daniel Craig is the best James Bond ever...and I have watched them all over the years. Why? Because he is true to the actual character in the books, something that he studied. From what I can gather (and Mum read the books) Bond wasn't supposed to be funny, he was supposed to be dark, mysterious and distant. Daniel Craig is the only actor to pursue this side of his character and he does it brilliantly.
My only issue is that the Bond films have no plot. Far too much action as people nowadays aren't interested in dialogue..so I'm not surprised Bond doesn't concentrate on humour anymore. People want the action in place of a plot, which is unforunate but that's how it is.
Can't wait for the third installment though!

You have a point there...
I have read some of the books (before I had issues with my concentration) and he is a darker character, but I do think they had to add some of the humour to make him a more accessible character for a general audience.
Agree with the lack of plot...quite sad really.

It is isn't it? One day they might combine a good story with action, then everyone will be happy.

I didn't think Daniel Craig was that good as James Bond, although the current generation of fans seem to think he is brilliant.
Give me Sean Connery any day!
