Do U Struggle to Come Up with a Topic

I have been in your shoes alot sunnycool, I have found it hard to come up with a good discussion and I've felt a bit frustrated. Usually I think of something eventually though. Until then I respond and comment to people, and sometimes that gives me ideas to start discussions of mine own.

I always have to struggle to come up with a topic, it takes me about an hour to figure out what's the best one to post.And it takes time to realized what gonna be the feed back from other myLotters.So it has to discussions briefly stated otherwise it gonna be a mess.Anyway its hard to come up with a discussion especially when having a swing mood. Hi Sunny, I am struggling right now what topic to start. it's been two weeks that i am posting any new discussion. i just content myself responding on here. thanks god just a few cents i am pay out already hehehe. thanks to the new feature too it helped a lot. i have three in mind but not yet sure if it's worth posting by now. nothing in mind that i am 100% comfy to post!

hello sunnycool. you're not alone. i do struggle too to come up with a topic.

well I dont know i am new to this site, but it seems ideas come to me all the time. I can't write everything that comes to my mind though. I do believe that a good idea is a very precious thing. But all in all the idea process is like a trance - if you break-up the trance to do something boring, then you lose the whole inspiration and you should expect not to get excited again about the same thing... or in the same way. I say, write the spontaneous things, it might be the best way, since it's sincere and you'll lose the grip of it once time passes ... :)

Yes, I've had a "mylot block" a lot of times before. I know I'm in a rut when I go two weeks without starting a discussion. But I never have nothing to respond to. Just like I got this discussion of yours in my e-mail inbox, I get all my other friend's discussions in my inbox. So I always have something to respond to.

It happens, the muse deserts me and I am stuck for a good idea. But then it happens to all of us at some time or another, so I just leave it and wait for another time when I can think more clearly.

A week since the last one? I have lots that I have ready to start but then I can't keep up with them all so I have promised myself that first I am going to comment on ALL of the rsponses on the ones that I have already started and resolve some of them too and then, and only then, will I start a new one. That is what I am going to do from now until the end of the month. Of course if anything happens and I have to do one urgently well I shall have to break my promise

I don't think so I am in mood today to reply to any discussion dude... I was just coming over and over to my discussions for any responses... then I had promised somebody for a new topic---there, I made it... I have in mind---but I don't know where to start it... but perhaps, before I sleep, I should make another one for tomorrow... But I do not know you really struggle, you are just a smart boy! And this is one is another good topic from you....

hi su nnycool I can sometimes struggle then give up but come the next day I read a discussion which oddly enough triggers an new idea on something a bit different but trigged by this particular discussion. It is not at all on the same topic though. The rest of the time I either respond to other's interesting discussions or try to catch up to commenting on my own discussions instead. I have been in your shoes a lot lately as so many times I think oh aha I have a great idea then check and zoom twelve other people also did that one. oh drat, darn, worse words than that, so I respond instead til I get a brainstorm and do make a discussion on that. good luck.

I do occasionally have trouble coming up with a fresh topic, but when I have mylotters block, I just respond for while until a fresh idea comes in my head, its better to respond then not participate at all, besides responding can be fun if the topic is interesting, and it also gives you some downtime to think of a good topic.

I cannot come, I just fiddled with the network to actually be able to post. After a thought in my mind, everything disappeared swallowed time chasing me. I try to be here but it is very difficult if the mind is not calm.

Well, uuummm, ok, it normally takes me a week, if not longer. But i have to congratulate you my BB, you did it in five seconds flat. Not too shabby. TATA.

I am not a good discussion starter as I am not a creative thinker either. I only post sporadically as and when something tickles my unthinking mind. Well, can't blame the aging mind as it generally run out of steam. I often struggle to think of something to write, something that don't trigger the the rules here and something that would get to the 'box office'. After taking all those into account, and by the time I wanted to start typing my ideas have dwindled to dust and I can hardly string two words together. But I promise myself to at least start one topic each day so I will remain connected to all my friends here. But when responses hit the roof I would have excuses not to start any new post.

Haven't started any discussion for more than a week now, so I know how you feel. It's just not that easy to start discussions worth discussing.

Hi sunnycool! There are times when I have difficulty thinking of a topic to post. Sometimes even in responding to discussions, I have difficulty choosing topics to respond to. But there are also instances when I do not struggle. There are times when different topics seem to overflow. For now, I will just have to look for topics to respond to.

usually not.. i get ideas all the time and started writing them down so i can post a ton when i do get on.. but i did go for a few months to almost a year away from here because i just could not think of anything to post and was going through a lot of life drama

Yes, I often find myself in that situation. But I don't force myself to create one. I will just wait until a natural thought come out of my mind, only then that I will turn my PC on, get connected to MyLot, and type the words. It must come out from you naturally, and not planned. Maybe some well-known artists do that also.

yes it does happen to me quite often. i try to think of my several hobbies, and issues in life to think up of something.
