Would you also purchase a warranty along with your new PC?

I am just curious, would you consider buying a warranty from the store you purchase the PC? When you pick a computer from the store, usually the staff would recommend you different type of warranties. Would you want to purchase them? For me, I may not need that, and the answer I would tell them is "no" most of the time. Because the market for a PC is pretty cheap, and I don't really need the warranty at all. What is your opinion?

Every new PC comes with one year warranty or more, I don't think I have to purchased and stored warranty, its just a waste, maybe i can't even used it and the new model already comes out in the market.Stored warranty is just for client who is doing a business purchased and with one or more PC and called networking service client. They may need this to prevail some offer or to less the risky of paying a technician for every damage..

Yes that's correct. You don't need stored warranty for buying one PC. Be contented with the one year warranty that comes with the brand new unit. And Your PC right now with high specs, may become obsolete before you get to one year. You may have to replaced them anyway.

No, usually the PC will come with at least 1 year warranty and if you want to extend that warranty, you will need to pay some amount of money. However, after a year, the problem that we have with our laptop rarely include the problem that are covered by the warranty. The kind of problem usually involved the software while the warranty usually only cover the hardware part. So, I really don't think to buy an extended warranty is worth the money.

mmkay, maybe i didn't understood your post but...is like clipsal said, usually when u buy a pc u have minimum 1 year waranty, after that, for every issue uyou come up with to the store from where you bought the pc, you pay.
my advice is not to aquire an aditional waranty service, stick with what receive when buying the pc because after it expires, i say is cheaper to just pay for every problem you may have with your pc than to aquire an extra waranty period.

Personally I don't believe the store warranty is worth the cost involved. When you add on the cost of the warranty to the price you pay, suddenly it's not such a bargain. With the cost of computers coming down all the time, there seems little point in spending more than you need to

most of the time, maybe I need a warranty because I ever bought a piece of equipment after a try in the store it's at least able to long survive and when I got home they are not turn on.I returned to the store and exchange it with a new, and they test it first to make sure that what I say is true or not. And they believe that it was their fault they sell the failed products so they don't mind to replace it.

i look for multiple options and mostly in different brand. i choose the pc with same configuration and then see which company is giving the better warranty then i choose accordingly. and in this way i choose my option. yes some time when warranty is not very costly i could consider more. but as i have come to know about my dell lappy that for more two years i will have to pay nearly more $200 so i decided not to extend my warranty.

well, I don't buy any warranty from the store because the PC already has a warranty for which I don't have to pay any thing, because each product/item that we buy must have warranty, and if we want we can pay something more for a longer period of the warranty!

I haven't been in a situation wherein the PC's warranty must be bought. In my opinion, the warranty should already be included upon purchase. If the store can't provide that warranty for free, then I don't think I would even want to buy the computer from them because they can't assure me that I am buying a quality product. I would go to other stores and see who provides warranty for free. But if I really have no choice, I think I would either buy the cheapest warranty or won't buy it at all. If the computer breaks and I need it repaired, I think I would spending money anyway so don't buy the warranty.

Usually, when you buy a PC, there is a warranty already for that unit. Where do you live kingparker? 'Cause here in the Philippines, there's no such thing as store warranty, if that is what you mean.
What are those warranties, may I ask? What do they offer?
The brand warranty is enough for all your cares and worries for your unit, for one year or so.

I did for this laptop that I purchased in January of this year. It is just a year warranty, as I paid enough for the laptop, that I want to be protected should anything happen. It is a nice laptop, and I want to keep it nice. I am very careful with it all the way around, as it is a Dell laptop, and a very good one at that. I really like it, and enjoying doing things on it to earn money. Take care, and have a good day.

Hi kingparker, I dont agree my friend, warranty is deadly important what if your pc overheated, your video card broke you cant go to them and ask them to replace it since you didn't bought a warranty. Warranty is a must for every product you wont know what will happen in the future so always claim a warranty for every product you buy right? have a nice day.
