I have been so curious about this odesk and so I decided to join and try it. I did try to look for easy tasks and would want to apply but hmm.. unfortunately I can't because I have to make a cover letter? What is for anyway? I do not even know what to write. Honestly, Im just clueless.. It really is difficult for a first time.. Can anyone tell me what a cover letter is and what does it do when you apply for a job? I wish its easy like just answering questions....

A covering letter shouldn't be too hard to write if you simply stick to a few basics.
"Dear Sir/Madam
I wish to apply for the position of ..... with your organisation and enclose herewith my application form for your attention. I trust you will view my application favourably, and look forward to hearing from you in due course.
Yours faithfully"

hehe ^_^ sad to say, i dunno what a C letter is as well.. lol =D SO far, none of the jobs i'm in, required me to have any resume, and thus i dun have the need to write it, or even learn the proper way of writing.. lol =D
I did learn a little in colleague, but i have forgotten them all.. THough the format is still there, but i dunno what to write under which headings.. lol =D
So sorry!!

A cover letter is very much like a formal letter. The cover letter is meant for you to "sell" or "promote" yourself, as well as to relay details on why and how you will be suitable for the job that you are applying for. It's really hard to try and give you a full example, but you can always use a search engine and type in the keywords "cover letter" and I am sure there will be plenty of examples to help you to understand. And believe me, it may look as if it is a daunting task to create a cover letter from scratch, but once you're in the middle of it you'll just breeze through it. Good luck, and hope you will be able to produce a good cover letter!
