Well, this morning I got up with things I had to do on the internet.A friend had sent me this link to check out trivia for your birthdate. So I click on it and
man was it fun! Only thing is I got upset at myself when I looked up and found Id wasted several hours there. Making nothing but fun
Do you ever do this?
heres the link: THIS IS NOT REFERRAL link. its for the discussion.

I've been known to spend way too much time at a site before. Actually, I think that myLot is the most recent. LOL
However, now that Spring has finally arrived and our weather has been gorgeous, I've been able to ignore the pleadings of my computer and get outside to prepare for this year's garden. I guess the sunshine and gorgeous weather outweighs anything I could get into trouble with online.
I'm going to check out this site you posted but I'm almost afraid to.
However, it's supposed to rain for the next two days and I've just spent several weeks getting long-overdue things done around the house so I think I've earned a bit of time-wasting online.

I'll look for mine. I know that I have the same birthday as the country singer, Loretta Lynn but, other than her, I don't have a clue. My husband shares Abraham Lincoln's birthdate but, believe me, he's no Lincoln!

I know that I was born on the anniversaries of the Titanic hitting the iceburg and Lincoln getting shot. I like to say I was born on a day of great disasters and that's why my life has been the way it has. I'm just another disaster.
I haven't checked the birthday thing yet but I'll do that sometime today.

I think this is normal. Alot of people (me included) find themselves spending alot of time on a given site. It happens. It is the lure of the internet. I sometimes start doing some research and find myself on some obscure site hours later with dozens of other sites on my desktop as well. It is simply amazing.

Hi bunnybon7,
I waste my time having fun on Facebook doing Fairyland and Countylife which I am trying to get the hang of, but why shouldn't waste if you want to, life is too short so have fun and enjoy, other things can wait.

LOL...wasting time is playing a game all week that you hate (Pogo Bowl) just to get a badge that has no value. At least as you spent several hours there you were having fun, right? Think of what people spend to have fun at a casino for a few hours. Or ever just to go see a movie. So, if you had fun for those hours, your ahead because the cost you nothing. Right?

Well certainly, when playing on my PS3 for example :D
I do also just read stuff on the internet, but lately myLot has taken all my time. I don't know if that's such a good thing...

Yeah, that's true. The only problem in myLot is that I don't have time to make new discussions or respond to old ones, because I have to comment all the time to some discussions, because they comment back...
But myLot is a very good place to get addicted, because you even get paid for it, but now I haven't got so much the fun part of it...

actually, yes. i easily get bored and most of the time i just think of wanting to be able to do more in a weebsite... for example.. i will need to concentrate when blogging but i find that hard to do cause i kind of want to do a lot of things all at the same time. he he i find earning sites productive though, except of course if these sites do not pay me in the end. that wwould be a bummer.

There are so many sites on the internet that are just a waste of time and I often accidentally go to them everyday.

I've never gotten upset with myself for wasting time on the internet or any sites. I guess that's because I don't have anything better to do with my time. I could be playing a game on a website for several hours and when I stop I would feel really accomplished Of course, I stay off the internet during school days but I don't feel guilty surfing the net for 24 hours when I'm on vacation. I'll definitely check out your site. I'm on my spring vacation now.

It has been a while since I've been guilty of doing something like this. However, this doesn't mean that I am immune to doing this. The last time that I wasted hour upon hour of my life on a website was several months ago when I got temporarily addicted to FarmTown on facebook. I started that game late in the evening one night and ended up playing the game until it was nearly daylight. I had a lot of fun with it until I just finally burned out of it.

Sometimes. On the weekends, when I have time to unwind, I usually don't care if I spend 12 hours straight playing a game or on a forum or anything like that. However, if I'm supposed to be doing something and I'm wasting time with something else, I always regret it afterwards. I find it hard to stop doing something if I know that I must actually go do something boring or tiring.

Yes I certainly do, for example, if I spend a long time filling in information for it to be lost. Or if I go to a site in search of information and spend a long time there, only to not find what I was looking for, I can get very upset not just with myself but the site. I'm not the calmest individual when things don't go my way; and time wasting is especially anathema to me.

Hello bunnybon,
So, I copy pasted the link to see what site it was.
. And yup, those are trivia about our birth date, and I looked for my birthday to see what's up, and boy did I see a lot. I didn't read it immediately, I decided to answer your discussion first
. I'll read it later.
Anyway, I don't really get upset with myself when I do something in the internet that wasted my time which should have been spent earning online. You see I did have fun, and it is worth spending for. All work and no play would make a man dull, so this is a way of getting out of work from the net, have a little relaxation, but in the end, I would tell myself not to spend to much time on this things. And I try hard to follow that. haha

a lot of site as far as ive seen is a waste of time.so u need to be careful in spending ur time in all te website u come across. the worst part is when u have slow internet speed.that would consume triple the normal time, in addition if it is a useless site u ve wasted the precious time possible.so careful mylotters do not get urself wasting ur time in useless sites....

I've wasted significant time on websites such facebook and Myspace, but I usually don't regret it much because I only spend around less than an hours on these type of social sites. However I've been on some "paid sites" that turn out to be a serious waste of time. I not only stop visiting those websites, but I also canceled my accounts.

I only get upset if there was something else I could have actually done with the time. If I am stuck at work with no work to be done and all my normal websites have been caught up with, then wasting time playing some dumb game or taking some dumb quiz isn't a big deal. If I am at home and could have been doing stuff to make life better like having a clean house or spending time with my wife and puppy then I feel pretty stupid.
