"Listen with your eyes... see with your ears!"
That was the advise I was given when I was at my lowest in my career! And I put it to good use.
Many a times, we tend to listen with our ears. And when we do, we do not listen as much. But when we listen with our eyes... we see the message is totally different from the sounds we hear with our eyes. The body language, the shifty eyes, the nods and shakes of the head, the gestures of the hands, the posture of the person talking... they all connects!
And when we start to make the conscious effort to listen with our eyes, what we actually hear and what we actually see are totally different. The person may be verbally praising you. But the next minute, his gestures, his actions tell an other wise story.
And after I practice this, I actually view things from a different perspective!

I once saw Joesph Campbell discuss the phrase Follow You Bliss. And that is the best advice I have ever gotten. Follow you Bliss means go for what makes You happy. The job, the place, the person that makes you happy. I didn't really go for Everything but I have been lucky the main things I always wanted Did happen.and now I am finally getting things i Never thought I would have. So Follow Your Bliss.
