I do not rear dogs as my pet animals. I feel that I am doing injustice to the animal by making restriction on the movement dogs of all its activities.I feel animal should be let free and we can feed them . we can show our live to them etc., I pained to see some of the Master, leave them the dogs as stray dog after it gets old and no use for them.Is it right?
Do you rear dog as your pet animal ? do you keep them with you till its last day?.Kindly respond.

I am a proud owner of 4 dogs. They are raised as part of our family. They have a lot of freedom, but also have boundaries at the same time. This is to ensure both their health, safety and well-being as well as that of my family. I do not leash them or tie them up unless I absolutely have to or when we are going somewhere and it is required. Otherwise, they are able to roam free around our farm. They are trained and obey commands. I have 2 puppies that I am still working on training. I received a boxer for my birthday the middle of March. He had been kept in a kennel or tied up outside prior to coming to live with me. Now, he has free roam of the house and yard. He sleeps with me at night instead of in a hard wire kennel. I do not believe that dogs should be kept confined other than when housebreaking and training them. I have 2 pug/border collie mix puppies that are 5 months old and still having a horrible time with housebreaking. Therefore, they do sleep in a plastic kennel at night with blankets in it. During the day they are allowed to roam free when we are home and able to keep a close eye on them.

Very glad to hear that you give freedom and you take care and boundary marking is necessary also. There are some people take care like you. But some people, they throw the dog as a stray dog, taking them to far off places when they feel it is no more needed to them.Happy Mylotting.

Unfortunately, there are many people that see dogs as being disposable. They get tired of them or get a puppy and it grows up and then they just dump them. This breaks my heart. There are also so many people that abuse their dogs, neglect them, or are just cruel to them. I wish there was more that I could do for these poor dogs. However, I do everything in my power. My dogs are adopted from shelters. I also support and donate to the ASPCA. And, if I find an animal abandoned or in need, I will do whatever I can to help them and make sure they have the life that they deserve. I wish there were tougher penalties and better laws to deal with those that are so horrible to animals.

I let my dogs, they are very free to move and walk around our house. I love them hanging around. I stick with my dogs till the end of their life. I would do anything just to save my dog's life.

Dogs are especially adapted to us humans. If you take the time when they are puppies, they will grow up to be perfect companions! They are superbly in tune with you - the alpha dog; so long as you are viewed as such. It is important to establish this when they are young, so as they will listen to you when they are older. Of course, you never want to be too demanding or harsh with them (they're just like children). Also, when scolding them for something, never, never ever strike them with your bare hand! This will only make them fear your touch when you go to pet them. Instead, use a rolled up newspaper and gently tap them on the nose or but. Most importantly, use the word no or bad when doing so. Eventually, they will understand what that means and the newspaper will be obsolete!

ofcourse ,what you have said it to rear the dogs. But, my thinking goes that the dogs grow older or sick, the master who rear the dogs to leave it in a far off places as stray dogs. It is the way they rear the bet animals. If it has been let free it will get accustomed to the situations, but after feeding it and making it to live in a limited areas,it will find it difficult to live.It has to search for water and food and it has to face the thread of other animals.
