Recently the form showed by the nearest rival of ManU,Chelsea is a lot to be desired. It appeared as if they are still not able to get over the hangover of being eliminated from the Champions League. They drew with Blackburn Rovers whereas ManU defeated Liverpool and maintained pressure on them. The other team Arsenal is also going great guns and I think That in the home stretch it will be ManU who will surpass others. We have seen that ManU are great finishers and there is no reason why they can't retain their title. What do you think?

After Chelsea's draw against Blackburn, Man U are in the pole position. The crucial game for me is their game against Chelsea. If they win, then they are on their way to the title this year. If they lose, then Chelsea are on their way to win. If they draw, then Arsenal come into the equation.
This is the best title race in quite some time.
Cheers!
Ram

You are absolutely right ram _cv when you said that this is the best title race as it involves all the big three teams ..however it would have been nice if Liverpool was also in the race but alas Rafa lost the plot and so did Liverpool.Coming back to the ensuing game between Chelsea and ManU I think that going by the recent form ManU will be able to drive home 3 points even if they can draw with Chelsea they will have an upper hand ..while Arsenal I don;t think will be able to cope up with the pressure towards the later stages..and if Chelsea wins then they will gain momentum which they apparently lost after losing out to Inter Milan in the Champions League. What do you think?

Hi ram I told you before that it will be difficult for Arsenal to win the title as they have the greatest chance of faltering at the home stretch and my fear came true..I believe that this young Arsenal side will lose a few more points from now on and will pave the way for ManU and Chelsea to make it a two way race at the end..Going by the track record of Sir.Alex I think that it will be ManU who will finally win this years title and Chelsea will finish second..however there's many a slip between the cup and the lip so let's wait and see.

based on incoming Chelsea and Man united fixtures, i can say that Man united can retain League title. Chelsea need to overcome Liverpool and for sure Man united need to keep consistent unbeaten run for remaining 4 matches started with game with Tottenham Hotspurs.
This stage, man united need to be physically and mentally strong to face 4 remaining matches and experiences to feel this pressure are slightly advantage for Manchester united.

Yeah you are right friend MANU is more experienced to handle this type of situation and Sir Alex is the right man too. However, even now Chelsea needs to throw away one more game or draw a game in order to help ManU overcome them. However the recent form suggests that Chelsea will oblige ManU.Let's keep our fingers crossed and hope that Chelsea drops another few points.

Sir Alex Fergusson is still there. And a stretch of home matches with Rooney in form, Ryan Giggs back, Berba fit, JS PArk getting his confidence, Ferdinand, Evra, Neville, Vidic fit, all mid fielders ready, Valencia finding Rooney for a header. So what is the big guess? Its just a matter of time.

I totally agree with you phynx15 that ManU appears to be in very good form at the present moment..what's more it appears that they are peaking at the right time..however there is an overdependence on Rooney to fetch them goals in tight matches and though Park brought them the victory against Liverpool yet I think that Rooney is the mainstay in their forward line..Barbatov is not in the best of form..however the arrival of Neville and Vidic will strengthen their defence as well as give Sir Alex a few more options and it will improve the balance of the team too..Valencia finding Rooney with his crosses is a good sign but it would have been better if he managed to emulate Ronaldo's goal scoring abilities as that would have reduced Rooney's burden.
