Negative effects of depression

Many people are experiencing depression nowadays. They are feeling inferior to others around them or they failed in something that they want to attain. Some has problems in the family and friends while other had break ups with their boyfriend or girlfriend. What do you thing are the negative effects of depression?

I slip in and out of depressions all the time and it can be unbearable. I'm extermely difficult to live with, uncommunicative, unhappy and not a very nice person to spend time around.
With depression comes insomnia, tiredness, physical pains and exhaustions, low self esteem, a not caring about anything attitude and a lack of motivation.
