Is there something wrong with MyLot Search or am I doing something wrong?

Dumpertaker, we've received a few complaints from members in the UK not being able to search successfully. Just as clipsal said I don't believe it's your browser choice. We're working on it.

I have the same problem, I never get any results for web. I did get results when I used it when I visited friends in Finland some weeks ago. I've got no idea why though. I used it on my own computer, so it can't be different OS or anything else different. Or maybe I should try the netbook, I use it for traveling so I haven't really tested it here. I don't get any results for my two other computers. They work fine for discussions etc, but not for web.

Hi there Dumpertaker! I was actually thinking of starting a discussion on this too, because I have the same problem as you. Every time that I use the myLot search engine to search for terms or keywords, it always yields no results no matter what search term or keyword was used. It made me quite sad upon seeing that others are able to do it and are commenting on how fun and good it was. I guess the only consolation that I can be happy with is that I can still earn the myLot search reward even though there are no results. But what I'm concerned about is, if I try the search engine and it doesn't yield me results, I would be discouraged to use it again because the whole point of searching is to get the search results. Oh well, anyway, I have read Alice's response and I certainly hope the myLot admin are taking proactive steps to rectify this problem......

Results when using the 'web' search are not always complete depending on your location. Try using it for searching in 'discussions' too

I think that this is the myLot issue. I've completed the search on both keywords and it returned me the results. I think that this problem wasn't caused by your browser or something. I've also encountered such problem once: I was searching using quite popular keyword (I can't remember what I was exactly searching for) and it returned no results to me.

I have used it a few times and never got credit either, so I really don't use it. I could be putting in the wrong keywords or just doing something wrong totally. I may be searching for the wrong things too. I am not quite sure myself how it all works, until I get credit for searching. I just keep trying, as one of these days, I amy get totally surprised as I might just get credit for it. I think though that I am just not understanding how to use it, or I would be credited.
