But....depends on what country you are right now. I'm talking about the exchange rate. In my country Indonesia, USD/IDR(rupiah is Indonesia currency) is on the cheapest level since 2008 economic crisis. Poundsterling and Euro? Even more, I think because the Greece crisis hit the EU, GBP and EURO is on their cheapest level to IDR in...I don't know...in 8-10 years maybe? Unfortunately the plane ticket is still expensive lol, I don't have that much money to travel there. How about in your country? Does your country happens to have the same experience? Are you takin an advantage of the situation and travel?

I have heard that travel right now is at one of the most affordable levels in several years. Despite that, we aren't able to travel right now because our family's finances won't allow for it. I hope that several years down the line the cost of travel will be affordable because I would like to be able to take my children abroad when they are old enough to get something out of their experience. I was seventeen the only time I've been out of the country and it was an amazing experience. I would like my children to be able to experience that as well.

Hi dorann! Yeah many airlines suffer huge loss last year after having sharp decline in passengers using the service so they offer cheaper rates or discount over the year. Many companies cut cost their traveling cost by downgrading business class for their employee to economy class. I really hope things get better to your family so you can take your children go abroad. I went abroad for the first just two years ago when I was 20 years old, my mom went abroad just 5 years ago. TNever too late to enjoy the world.

I visited Indonesia in 1994 and it was a very cheap place to travel around. It is a long distance from my home country so to fly back there would be a lot of money. I have noticed that airlines pass on the cost of the airport security and more expensive oil to run the planes to their passengers. Therefore the cost of a plane ticket to a long haul destination is pricey. I will be taking my toddler son and baby daughter on a flight from London to Vancouver this summer. I paid a lot for our plane tickets. I have know better times for traveling when the costs were lower.

Here in the Philippines, there are lots of promos being done on airlines to have a chance on traveling to other counties at lower cost. They have this kind of three day visit, one week visit on their promos. The cost is cheaper and suitable if you just want to visit a certain country. :)

Yes, within a couple of weeks here too the travel season starts and every one might have already planned and reserved their tickets and also some may be planning.
Here, too in India the plane tickets have been increased and passengers are feeling inconvenient and many are dropping down and planning in an economic way by 1st class trains.
what every may be the situation if a person wants to visit he will some how go.

Yeah, usually the ticket goes up during May-July season, that's when the school holiday starts. Many of my friends that already have a family bought plane tickets to go on a trip. The government has ruled out the cap and floor for ticket prices to avoid the airline to charge the passengers crazy price. I think this move is quite effective.
