What do you think on Manny Pacquiao as a government official?

Even before, Manny already planned to be in the government but has failed, and also, most of the people were not in favor to this. Now, after the recent Cotto fight, he plans to resign from the boxing world and step into politics again. Will you approve of him now being a government official? Can you picture this "hero" as a politician now?

I don't know how to react to Manny being a government official. He is our boxing hero and has helped many of our countrymen. I don't know though how he can handle work in the public office and if he even knows how it works. I don't doubt his desire to help others but maybe he may not have sufficient skills to take on a government official position. But Manny being a businessman, I think he candle handle important paperworks and procedures.

oh yes I agree. He's so good in thinking what business he should put up. He is a really good business man. This is the reason why his money won't empty out even if he stops boxing.
For me, he should be given a chance to show his capabilities, besides, it's just a small government office in their area. He can use that to gain experience and knowledge in the government world

As far as I'm concerned, he should not enter the world of politics. He already has a big reputation and maybe if I'm on his shoes I'll be contented already. If he will say that he would like to run for he wants to help his fellow filipino's well he can do it through other ways. Helping is not just by being a politician, it comes from the heart. Manny, think twice please

I don't think he should go into politics. Hasn't he had enough with boxing? Okay, so he wants to retire which is fine. And he has loads of money which is finer than fine. But does he have to get into politics as well? I'm not sure if he's trying to be well-rounded or if he's just plain bored. He's done almost everything. He's an endorser, a commercial model, he had his sitcom, he released an album, he's a boxing world wonder, and now he wants to be a politician. what next? The nobel peace prize? The Grammys?
No hate, no disrespect, I love manny pacquiao, and he's very blessed. But I think he's getting a little in over his head. :-(

if manny pacquiao's going into politics he just might make a good senator/congressman or whatever position he's running for. Maybe if a bill isn't getting signed we'll see blackeyed politicians coming out of the courts
but seriously... he should stick to being a businessman/boxer.
Politics is a very dirty game and there are no referees to save you from cheats and hidden upper "cuts" and under "cuts"
