Does your husband, boyfriend, or significant other help with the house work?

My husband will help me with the house work only after I'be become so angry about it I could strangle him. We've been married for 18 years this July and together for 20. I overlook many of his faults as in any long term relationship, you must do a lot of give and take for it to last. However, I feel at times that he is teaching our daughter bad habits. I have spoken with him about it and he is willing to help, he just won't do it on his own without being nagged about it. Then there is the fact that he is so forgetful I can't be sure he won't forget to do it unless I remind him many times. How do you handle this situation in your family?

Well, if you ask this question to my wife, she would give an big YES. Well infact she shouts at me, not to do her work as she loves me very much, But i would feel great helping her and feel thats my duty and love.

I enjoy doing household chores especially now that I am living with my partner. y partner also does household chores and it is very seldom that I have to nag at him to do whatever needs to be done. He has the initiative to do the tasks.

Mine will do all of the cooking if I wanted him to and he does the heavy and outside work. I have NEVER seen him do dishes, floors, laundry..... It drives me nuts but the good far outweighs the bad!

My partner is a great one for *helping* in the kitchen and often cooks meals for me. However, he makes an incredible mess and I seem to spend ages cleaning up after him. I have asked him to help on occasion, and when he's asked then he will help. I sometimes wish he would just do some cleaning instead of being asked.

I don't know...we only spend a very short time together cos he need to go back where he work,
the longest time we spend together was 37 days, and I can't really remember what he has done when he's with us that time., but way back when we were working both abroad, he used to do my laundry,cooked, w go together buy groceries.. whenever he visits me

Is not easy to make husband doing house work because they think all the house work is for woman to be in control of all, since he may be busy at work all he knows is when he come home he want everything ready and nice like food,bath,drink and enjoy him self when back home,and all happen to me too,same like i can do all house thing by myself and he will feel that we don`t need him much,so if you want him to help you speak slowly to him and asked him nicely to give his hand for helping and about the thing that he forget, you can keep remaining him or give him book for write and mark what they have to do
