Seeing Movies In Theaters

I just responded to a discussion a few minutes ago that got me to thinking. That particular discussion was about seeing movies in theaters alone. Something I said got me to thinking. When was the last time you saw a movie in theaters? It's been close to three years since I last saw one in theaters. For a while I had thought it was four but I realized that the last movie I saw was Pirates of the Carribean 3 when it was released in 2007. However, there's a movie coming out in April called Kick-Butt (that's not the name, but Mylot won't let me type the actual word in the name) that's really making me want to break my "record" and go see in theaters. Anyway, what about you? When was the last time you saw a movie in theaters? How long ago was that?

Hi DarthJustice. I guess the last movie I watched in the movie house was twilight-the new moon. I was with my partner and a friend and there were scenes I find dragging as I fell asleep. But I was not able to miss the good parts..I hope..LOL!

Truthfully, I didn't have any interest in seeing the Twilight movies. I'm not saying because they're horrible or anything. I just didn't for some reason. I've gone to movies as a kid with my parents that was like that, where I started dozing off.

Oh I see. I respect your opinion. I am also not that interested. i did not even watch the books. It was just out of curiosity.

I see maybe 2-3 movies in theaters every year. The last movie I saw in theaters was Alice in Wonderland and that was 2 weeks ago. I used to work in a movie theater and when I did I got to see movies for free. (Plus I'd get free popcorn and drinks too!) So back then I'd go see a movie almost every single week! It was very strange the first time I had to pay for a movie after I quit working at the theater! But yes, now I don't go see movies in theaters nearly as often as I did when I worked in one!

I used to see movies in theaters all the time when I was younger. I guess it doesn't help the only theater in my town closed down several years ago and the nearest one is close to 30 (or more) miles away from where I live. I bet it was nice being able to get in and get food for free.

hi! as i still remember it, it was years ago, maybe 5-6 years ago, and I went at the cinema with my girlfriend and a friend of mine and the movie that we watched was a French one called "Tais Tois" a great comedy and we were really happy for it, because it was the funniest movie that we have watched since weeks

I don't think I've ever heard of that movie. I'll have to look it up on IMDb.

I also saw "Alice in Wonderland" a couple of weeks ago. I have a teenage daughter and we like to go to the theater about once every couple of months. I love 3-D movies and I really enjoyed seeing Johnny Depp in "Alice". I live quite a ways from the nearest theater, about 40 miles, so we can't go as often as we would like.

boy, it was a few years ago when we last saw a movie. we had traded in all our points to see horton hears a who and got a free popcorn and drink in the package too. going to see a movie is just so expensive!

I can't even remember the last time that I saw a movie in the theater. I think is was the fourth Harry Potter movie, Goblet of Fire, that my friends and I went to see. There have been tons of movies that I have wanted to go and see. But, my work schedule has been crazy and it never seems to mesh with my friends schedule. So, for the lasdt few years or so, I have mainly just caught the movies on pay-per-view or by renting/buying them.

3 days ago. One of my best friends and I went to see "Bounty Hunter" which was great! We were expecting to see a cheesy but funny romance. Boy, were we surprised! It had a bit of mystery and some action as well. Very good movie - I will definitely buy it when it comes out. I go to see movies all the time...before that I saw Green Zone and before that Alice in Wonderland...I probably see about 2 or 3 a month. When I'm with Amy...she is a huge movie person...it could be one a week sometimes! lol

The last time I watched a movie in the theaters was just five days ago. I watched When in Rome with my best friend, just the two of us after work because we just felt the urge that we need to hang out already and that we need to catch up with one another that is why after our work we went straight to the mall and watch a movie.

i seldom watch movies in a theater 'coz it's quite expensive. i usually watch them in dvds at home since it saves more time and money. hehe. but i can never deny the fact that watching it in theaters makes the movie more fascinating because of the big screen and nice sounds. and i only try to watch them in theaters whenever it has visual effects and such like transformers and avatar. just to make the money spent worth it. :D

We saw the Hurt Locker in a local theater about a month ago. Before that it had been well over a year since I'd seen a movie in a theater. Because of the sound system and of course the big screen, it was neat seeing the movie in the theater. But it's really expensive compared to renting a movie.
