Have you seen TV ads promoting Internet Explorer 8 in your country ?

I saw a TV ad promoting Internet Explorer 8 : a man was using private navigation to make a gift to his wife. I'm not sure that private navigation is mainly used for gifts, but if Microsoft says it...
IE 8 comes with all new Windows computers, so I don't understand why Microsoft needs to promote it.
Have you seen such ads in your country ? Have you an idea on the goal of Microsoft ?
