How many books can you read in a week?

What is your record? One week a few years ago I had just gotten my library card and I checked out 8 books and read them all. They were not all little books either. One was over 500 pages. The others were at least 200-400 pages.
So, how many books can you read in a week?
Oh, and I haven't tried to beat my record since!! Too many things going on!!

I have done that in th epast- go on "reading binges" lol.
But I find that it is hard to truly understand and appreciate some books if you read them too quickly. I am still a total book worm today, but I like to take my time reading and even take notes for myself.

I hear ya. I'll go back and reread a book that I read years ago and read it slow-er than I did before and I swear there are new parts that I didn't read before!!! Like, I'll think, "Now, that wasn't in there before."
The 8 books in a week happened about 4 years ago, so yeah, haven't been able to do a "reading binge" in a while!!!

If left alone to read I could probably manage a couple a day. With time sometimes being limited I might struggle to read one a week - although I am trying to make time for reading.

Well, I read for leisure since I've got school and basically have not much time to really sit for a long time and read. But I guess if I were to have a free time to really just read for a week, I would finish about around 8 as well because I can finish a 300-400 page book in half a day.

If I just spent all my extra time reading, and was really able to concentrate, I might be able to crank out 7 or 8 books. But seeing as I go to school, and spend some of my free time writing, watching tv and doing stuff with my family, that won't happen--at least any time soon! lol
I have finished one book in a couple of days before, but I'm sure the most books I've finished in a week is 2. It really depends on the book. If I happened to read three AMAZING books that I just couldn't put down one after the other, I could probably finish them all in a week. But if a book isn't GREAT I usually take a little time to finish it because I'm not highly motivated to read and read it.

Frankly speaking, not a single one.. Its because I hardly get time to read nowadays and thats why, I always prefer listening to the audio books.Previously in my school days,I used to be a good reader and I remembered, that in the month,i used to read 4 to 5 thick novels.Good stories really interests me.In those time I was also a member of a library and I was a regular visitor over there.
