Just trying my luck...
But are there people who got hired because of myLot? We've had discussions about earning online and looking for online jobs here. I figured there could be somebody from the hiring side of the game too.
OR is that too much to imagine?

I agree with you that myLot helps your writing a lot. I think my vocabulary has grown this past few months here in myLot. Having almost actual conversations in this language helps a lot.

Sadly I'm one of those mylotters. But hey, the important thing is is that messages get across and we have discussions that we all enjoy despite our language barriers. It's quite all right if we don't have perfect grammar. It's an informal forum so a lot of people are not really watching out for their grammar and punctuations.

I am also looking for an online job. Like you, I am hoping to find somebody who will hire me through mylot. Maybe, there are a lot of people in mylot who can provide us with their help.
I hope there's someone in mylot. Good luck!

Yeah MyLot has been helpful in my quest to find better jobs. What are you currently earning from online?

There are people who get hired through their online presence, but I am not sure about using Mylot alone for earning. You should write more and make yourself prove that you are capable of writing. There is nothing wrong in mentioning about Mylot presence in the resume.

I doubt if my writing here in mylot would serve as a good sample of my writing prowess.
I'm a bit lenient here and I really don't check much before I post anything. So if anyone scans through my responses they will not consider me for any writing jobs if they judge by grammar alone.

Hmm thanks for the advice with writing resume. By the way do you freelance online or you have a blog of your own?

Several months ago I was invited to join a writing group which accepted writing assignments. A member gets paid for completing his or her share. Due to other commitments I rejected the offer.
It could have been a scam, but it proves that a writer can nbe noticed for being active on myLot.

Wow. I would hope that someone would notice writers here at mylot. I doubt if a scammer can survive it here in mylot. They would surely a bashing from this community and end the end get kicked out if many people complain about them.

i guess being a writer need a wider imagination and must posses a good english communication skills including proper grammar and etc. its not because your writing here in mylot it means that they can also be a good freelance writing. freelance writing is already considered as a career. while here in mylot, we are just here to earn extra income, practice our english and share our ideas and experience in life. though if the member is already here and happened to be a good writer then its just a plus to them.

probably. I just started out online freelancing and I'm quite shocked that a lot gets taken by freelancing sites.

It will be nice to get hired by someone through myLot, wouldn't it. I think you can get hired by looking for suitable tasks in the Task section of myLot. Even though most of the tasks are quite short term, you still get paid for doing something. Some pay is better than no pay.
My first writing gig was acquired through a local forum in my country. He was looking for someone who can write in the English language and I contacted him and he hired me for a few projects.

Yes the tasks available seem quite interesting. Sometimes though they don't offer enough incentives. Which I think is one of the reasons writers online get easily discouraged.

I wish it was so. I wish that someone could get me hired based on my writings on mylot. But unfortunately it isn't so. But besides that mylot is a great platform to get your writing capabilities exposed.

YEp. Mylotters did help me find the courage to write at article submission sites.
