My cat has a nasty habit of biting my toes whenever she gets close to them. Is this normal? Can anyone suggest how I can get her to stop?

It is normal theres no need to be worried at all. All my cats did the same thing to me biting my toes every now and then but not those serious bites at all. Its as if they are just playing around. Just let them be actually you can even play with them if you want to. This will make them feel even better about you in return ;)

LOL Kitties do that, especially when they are young. She will grow out of it . Don't worry.

not all cats do it,but yes it's normal. a bit of the "chasing" instinct. sometimes something as small as really thick socks will stop them.most cats don't like a mouthful of lint.

She probably just wants to play with you. :) My cat used to do that all the time but she grew out of it. Just trying telling her "no!" and gently pushing her away from your feet. She'll get the hint eventually.

I think your cat needs a companion. We have also a cat but his companion was a dog. They kiss every morning for love of companionship.

lol! My kittens did that every night and every morning. I would go to bed, they would jump in and begin biting my toes! The alarm went off and there they were biting my toes! I had to wait for them to grow up. Try telling her sternly NO and tell her to get her toy. Go get one for her and give it to her. Every time she bites you do this, and eventually she may go to her toy instead of you.

My cats used to do this too! I think all kittens do. So yes, it is very normal. Get her a toy to play and nibble on instead. If you tell her no and lightly tap her on the nose, she will soon realize that this is something she is not allowed to do. But you have to be stern, or she will think you are playing with her and will want to do it even more!
