My niece will be graduated in high school at the end of this month. I'm still thinking what I'm going to give her. Maybe you can share an idea on what gift I am going to give my niece. If I cannot think of any thing, then it will always end up to cash. Lol! How about you, do you have any idea what to give on newly graduates? Kindly share. Thank you in advance. Have a nice day and Happy myLotting!

Laptop or a tuition fee for college is what she needs . Or you just treat her for a nice restaurant or treat her to a beach as a celebration. Or better ask her what she really wants so that your money will not turned into waste. You know what i received from my Uncle when I graduated in highschool before.......i pack of Cloud nine. Isn't he sweet?

You could give her a stuffed bear that says "congratulations" or "happy graduation". Or you could give her a gift certificate to her favorite restauraunt, or shop. You could also give her a little bit of money for her car if she has one.

Hi cowgirl! A stuffed toy is a good idea, better if it's wearing a toga. I will consider that. Plus some cash will really make her happy. Thank you for your response. Happy myLotting!

Cash is king, especially for teens. I know it doesn't always feel like it's a gift, but I think most kids would rather get the money and do whatever they want with it.
If you really want to buy something that you can wrap, then my next question would be, is she going to college? If she is, then you can buy her something like a sweatshirt to the school she's going to. If she is going away to school, ask her if there's anything she needs for her dorm room.
Otherwise, like I said...there's always cash.

Hi! Yes, it's better if there's a gift aside from cash. A sweatshirt is a one good idea. Yes, she will be going to college. Thank you for your suggestion. Happy myLotting!

Here in Hawaii it is VERY common to give cash as a graduation gift. I was given a lot of monetary gifts from family and friends upon my graduation from high school.

another idea would be a gift card, that she can use while she is attending college. Maybe to somewhere like starbucks, or a book store? I know when i was in college gift cards and money were always the best gift, because while you're going to school, you're likely to be short on funds!

In the mall near where I live, they have many silver pieces made of silver and they do engravings on them. For my grandmother's birthday, I had gotten her a heart shaped silver jewelry box with her name engraved on it. I think it would make a great graduation gift too. But Cash is a good idea too. She's probably going to need money since she's going to be out with her friends the whole summer (if not she might need to save up for college)

cash would be fine but a gift cheque would be another good variety of that thought... besides, you might give her something that she really doesn't use or a brand she doesn't like so you might want to stick to the cash or gift cheque or gift card. how about another bank account ?

Hi, Congratulations!!!,
Well, in everybody's life Graduation Day is a very special and important occasion. And thinking of gifting her is a wonderful feeling. Graduation is one such moment in a person's life when she feels extremely special. It marks the beginning of a new life, a new future and a promising career. A graduate's hard work should be rewarded with admiration and encouragement. The best way to recognize her achievement is by gifting something that will prove useful to him in moving towards the goal of his life and also motivate him to strive ahead.
Well, you can gift a graduate with books that can guide him in going further in his career and help him move ahead in his life. You can also gift a laptop or personal computer to a graduate, which would prove helpful for him/her in the future. You can send the graduates on an adventure trip. Apart from serving as a kind of recreation, it will also provide them with a good learning experience.

hello mark,
You can at least asks what she wants and needs(simply asking, not to give her a hint)
And,if you can afford to buy, then, bought it.
Teeners go crazy with gadgets nowadays.
Or,you can just give her cash...at least she can buy what she really wants then.
Too bad my daughter lost her mobile last Monday, and i hope someone could gifted her with a mobile(hmmnn, hopefully).
She's also a graduating student(highschool)
Have a good day always

If I were the graduate I would choose cash so I can buy what I want. It is hard find a gift that the person will appreciate and find useful. The safest is to give cash and you can never go wrong with that. Just buy that small red Chinese envelope for that purpose.

Congratulations! My grandchild will be graduating from elementary. When I asked her what she wanted, she said that I cook crab in coconut oil which is her favorite. I will cook for her and I bought ice cream for us to eat for dessert. Ask your niece what she wants and get ready for a surprise. Good luck.

a high school graduate would love to have a college scholarship as a gift.^_^ That would be the ultimate gift that you could give your niece. Aside from that, conventional gifts would be school supplies like a notebook, a good quality pen, a bag, a planner, etc. I think anything new would please your niece. New clothes, new shoes, new cellphone, or perhaps new cellphone housing/skin, among other things new.^_^
I gave a friend a shirt with a customized print. I remember him saying that he would love to own a shirt with that design, so I had it made. I gave it to him earlier this evening and he was surprised and appreciative.
Maybe you can remember those items that your niece has looked on more than once. Or you can ask the parents to give you an idea. That's just my suggestion.

Anything that would give your niece a feeling of maturity would be nice. You could give her a watch that looks feminine and matured (but not too mature looking). A sign pen would also be nice. There are these nice pen from Parker or Mont Blanc that would range from Php 3,000 - Php 5,000. A gift check for a pampering massage in a spa is also a nice gift.

hi mark
my pre-schooler nephew just graduated last monday and since he was the first honor..now, he is asking for a gift, he he. I never thought of giving him one cos I was thinking that he is too young and besides I am far from them, so I was thinking that I'll buy him a gift when I get my vacation this year, but he insisted for a gift cos he said " I am the first honor! " so all of you should give me something.
Ha ha, yesterday I told this to my husband and he said that I should have send a cash at least,
and children would be very appreciated to receive something after those hard days at school.
But, for a change...why don't you bring shopping your niece with you?.. so that she can choose what she want.how about that?

Its hard to decide what's the perfect gift you can give to your niece unless you're really closed to her and knows what's her desire now.
I would suggest to give her in "CASH" and let her choice what she want to have. You can get a flower bouquet with a notes on it ..lastly you can give her a cash for her to buy her choice of gift..Its necessary to make someone's happy when receiving gifts but the point is you don't exactly know what she want, you may think she like it or not its a gift she had to accept it,but Isn't it happier knowing that a family can choice what she wanted to and it has been materialize by U?..Unless she will tell you want she want to have then you can personally purchase it..I think she will have an idea in mind what she want to have..Since shes your niece,a part of your family better do it in simple but adorable way!How much you will give?Depends on how much you can afford and you think it suits her needs.
Happy myLotting!

hell0 there!
well, I think that one nice digital camera or a camcoder will be something really nice if she still hasn't got one or wants a new one, just to make pictures for the last time with her schoolmates. for em especially the camera is the best choice.
well, if she has got a good one, maybe you can buy her some jewel if she like that or maybe some vacation to some lovely place
