I usually purchase stuff online but only locally. I think the shipping cost if I have to purchase abroad will be very high and not practical. I'm not scared of being scammed actually but I'm scared of the shipping cost hehe.

I purchase many different things on the internet. I frequently buy things off of Ebay. I have made international purchases also more than once. I have never been disappointed. It is easy to do and a lot less hassle than going to the store most of the time. When I first started making purchases online I was worried about it. There have only been 2 times that I have not received the items that I paid for. However, with Ebay, you have buyer protection so I was reimbursed for the money that I had spent. However, the rest of my online shopping experiences have been wonderful.

i wonder how ebay reimburse you the money when the seller has already received the money and withdraw the money from his bank. i am not much into buying online so i am bit confused how things work and how they will be able to reimburse our money. i would like to buy things online like cellphone. do you think it is good idea to buy cellhpones online on ebay and even cameras.

Paypal reimburses you for purchases that you do not receive because you file a claim and then they take the funds out of the sellers Paypal account. If they do not have the money in their Paypal due to already withdrawing it, they will put a hold on their account until they deposit funds and get their Paypal account back to a positive balance. I have bought digital cameras and a laptop off Ebay without any problems. I have friends that have bought cell phones. As long as you pay attention to the listings and understand everything that they post then, there should not be a lot to worry about. If there is a problem, there are ways to get your money back.

Yes, I buy most products on the Internet. I tend to buy goods from my own country, but I will buy software from anywhere in the world because that is usually downloaded.
I am very careful about what websites I used though, and will only use websites that I know are good companies that have good, well-known reputations for honesty. _Derek

I have bought a lot on the internet. Because I live in the Netherlands and have found that I cannot get everything I am looking for here. And to be honest it is much cheaper to buy it from countries like USA since the dollar is very low compared to the Euro which we have here. I must say that it is a risk of being scammed, but if you buy from sellers who have good feedback or are a great shop then the risk is lower. I have never had any trouble buying on the net from another country.

Hi, nowadays more and more poeple are using internet to buy and sell things as it is cheap, easy etc.
On any auction site seller is always given a creditability on his each and every transaction, moreover feedback is taken from each buyer and is posted on his page regarding his last transaction, his faithfulness, time taken for his delivery, material quality etc.
Moreover, in his listing he needs to specify complete detail of the product he is selling. He needs to specify which courier service he will use to send the material, what are its fare rates and how much time it will take for delivery, which is more important if you are buying from another country.
If complete information is not there, you may contact him using his email - id provided and confirm before buying the product. Also, even if you are not satisfied and want to return back the product some sellers give 10-15 days period in which you can send back the material. In case of dispute some auction sites(such as eBay) provide help to resolve it.
I hope you like my response.

I have made purchases across the Internet. So far I prefer E-bay and have never been dissapointed by them. They ship on time and there are hardly any customs n all.But on the contrary I HATE AMAZON they are never able to ship on time and the last time I had to pay a lot of customs. Therefore I prefer ebay over amazon.

I thought E-Bay and Amazon are different in categories. E-Bay is an auction site while Amazon is a retailer site (which I am an affiliate of). Can you buy something in E-bay like the way you buy in retailer site Amazon? Is it bidding? How does an auction works? Can an ordinary individual with meager budget on his hand buy from E-Bay? I wanna know from an experienced person like you... I am interested in buying also from E-bay..

Yes you can especially if there is a "buy it now" button. In that case you don't bid anymore but buy the product directly. Most of the time you can get cheaper stuff in ebay as compared to the mall especially if the seller is a wholesaler. I couldn't compare the price in Amazon though. But if you're in the Phil you can buy www.ebay.com.ph then you save from the shipping cost.

I have and will continue to buy things on the internet as well as in local stores. Sometimes you can not find what you want in local stores. If you dont have a way to get large items home then buying online is easy way to get it sent to your house. Some stores have things that are only online and not in the stores. If i buy on ebay i make sure they have a ebay store rather than a indivigual person. And check their ratings. You have to make sure its a secure site.

i have had purchases in over the net and apparently i've never been disappointed so far.
First you have to check the credibility of the seller.. you have to make sure there are several others who have already made a transaction with them and get their impression. It would be much better if you know someone about it... then track your order online.. communicate regularly

do you buy in ebay.ph also. i wuold like to buy there. but i am not familiar in how to buy through that. i have not been in the habit of buying on the net. but i don't think it is good idea to be electronics on ebay.ph. better buy books and other stuff online than electronics. as eletronics and gadgets are more sensitive.
anyways, any seller that you can recommend on ebay. i am also concerned over the quality of products on the net. i don't wanna waste my money on buying things of low quality or not the worth the money i paid for.

There are cheating everywhere., whether you buy international or domestic. You need to be careful and scrutinize the seller of the goods that you plan to buy.
You can consider legally valid and reputed sites like eBay, amazon, etc for your purchases.

I am not comfortable shopping on the internet; I will look at things, but will not buy anything. I just don't trust internet shopping, even if I know the merchant, because of too many hackers, spying or whatever.

I have bought many things from the internet.
I think the most I paid was £300 for my embroidery machine (sewing machine).
We have had a few things that came all the way from Hong Kong and twice I have bought from America.
We hardly ever have a problem.

The same as you, I usually buy things from native net shops. If I buy something aboard it costs to much for transit.

normally when buying anything online, make sure to read everything the seller say that thing is. i always avoid buying from sellers who did not do a good job describing the item.
and if i'm buying from eBay, i will read the customer comments about the seller. there will be someone who did not have a good experience with the seller but that doesn't mean you cant trust the seller either. it is really hard to please everyone. just to get an idea. and if the item sold is an immitation/fake someone might have said something there.

i have only used ebay once. but i'm really interested in buying stuff over at the net. aside from stuff that needs fitting, i guess it's okay. you would of course need to research more about the seller for you to have a good sense of security before purchasing an item. the site also where they are actually selling should be reliable.

I buy stuff online often. I usually buy from trusted online stores. Being a fan of Asian entertainment, I frequently shop at YesAsia and CDJapan. As for other stuff I couldn't find there, I would purchase from eBay or LiveJournal communities as long as they have seller feedbacks available. These feedbacks are from other people who had a transaction with the seller, and tell us if the seller could be trusted and how well he/she transacts business.
I often buy stuff through the internet because I can't find them locally. Sometimes, I am lucky to see items I have been looking for some time on our local eBay. It is a lot of savings from shipping.

i usually purchase tickets on the internet since its cheaper to buy online. i tried to buy a book once from other country and it went well, but the problem is that the item may be cheap but the shipping is 3-fold of the price of the item.

Hi! I bought yahoo stuff or tools program. I am afraid to use CC over the net, if they allow me to use WU, ill pay using it, or if they agreed using my PP funds, ill purchase it. If i want to use a card, better to use debit card not a credit card.
Have a nice day!!!

i don't know really!! but i think that i will not buy anything from internet, sine there are lot of cheaters out there and there is a big jungle of cheaters ready to take away money from pockets. actually have been scammed once and i am really scared of buying online, whether its of hundred bucks or of just a dime.
