windows 7 are great, it has some really great features....but just check whether you need a 32 bit version or 64 bit ....also see the compatibility of your hardware whether it supports 64 bit or not...before buying 64 bit version...

I agree with that, dual core computers uses the 64 bit, single is usually 32 bit. Make sure you know which one you need before buying any Operating system, as well as other programs. You do need to know if your computer is a 32bit or 64bit.
Thank you for that reminder

For me, Windows XP is the best out of I used. The fact that it still works after all of these years, should really tell you something about Microsoft. They have not gone up in the world, rather downwards from my experience. Vista to me was such a colossal disappointment at best and such an epic failure at worst. Given the fact that Windows 7 has been released so soon after Vista, then I think Microsoft must have realized their error. Vista will be an ugly footnote in Microsoft history.
I have good things about Windows 7 but I have not taken the plunge as of yet. Maybe someday, but right now I am going to stick with the tried and tested Windows XP until I actually have to switch over. XP is the best for sure out of what I have used and I believe, I have used 95, 98, XP, and Vista. I did enjoy 98 when it was out there, but XP did beat in the end. Then they took about twelve steps back with Vista.

Guys, we're talking about Microsoft OS here. Anyway, it still is XP to me since it has proven itself to be stable (although there are many security holes) enough to last this long. It also is the cheapest OS to implement or maintain in a business environment (especially for small to medium sized businesses). Right next to XP will be windows 7 ;)

The best is a choice of one of the Linux os's.
For Microsoft, I have used win95, win98, win xp, now using Win 7.
I used Windows 98 until one came out that didn't have the major problems as 2000 and ME had. XP is a souped up win 98 in my opinion. Then Vista came out, what many didn't realize is Vista was created more for the business end of computers, not for the home user. Also with it you ended up having to replace printers and other peripherals. I didn't like that for my home based computer.
I just bought this one with Win 7, to me so far it is taking XP steps further into the future. I like it so far.
As far a choice of the best, XP until I use Win 7 more I can't add it to the list of well known os's that I used, until I have used it several months to learn all its capabilities and how it handles everything.

It has to be Windows 7 as it is much more stable than any of the other OS's, leaving alone Windows NT. Windows 7 is a good, secure, stable, less-resource-consuming, versatile, diligent , accurate operating system! That is my opinion - but Linux is better !!

hell0! for me the best OS from microsoft is windows XP, because it has many features, well, maybe not that many as windows 7, but it is not that "heavy" and even PC's/laptops with slower processors can use it!
