I am new to Mylot. I came because I happened to see an interesting discussion about a favourite topic of mine, which I had been discussing at length at another website. What a pleasant surprise to me that Mylot is so interesting - with a very wide and diversified range of topics for discussion and meeting lots of people, and getting paid for active participation and involvement. I am getting "hooked" on it too!
With more than 200,000 members I am sure each and everyone would have their own special reason/s for joining myLot.

I love to write and really the main reason to join was that when I checked the other forums they had so many restrictions - i.e. no mention of politics, no mention of religion, agree with everyone and say they are right even when they are wrong, that I was so glad to see a forum where I could talk about my beliefs, talk about who I wish would quit politics and is not a good leader, etc. without a notice from the administrator.
I am also snoopy and want to know about everything. and getting paid makes me feel that my writing here is worthwhile.

Writing is also an interest of mine. Here at myLot it also gives my some opportunity to "disagree" with certain opinions in a pleasant and diplomatic way - a very good practice ground.
Though the administrator here does not give unnecessary notices, I also realised that they are actually very sharp and alert at spotting errant members/replies/responses.

It is amazing how all those errant member replies and responses as well as their posts come near the end of the month. I do think that some worry unnecessary, are extremely insecure and also that they ask questions of the members that they really should address to the MyLot administration themselves.
I do love writing and I do find that unlike in other forums, that there are so many rules that makes it hard to discuss things that one may feel strongly about.
Mylot is not like that. You are never afraid to discuss things here.

Yes the freedom to discuss anything comes with responsibility. We have to be mindful that we keep ourselves within the legal bounds, as well as ensure that all discussions are meaningful, pleasant and beneficial to everyone concerned. We can do so in a fun and lighthearted way.

Well, I do admit that the desire to make a bit extra money was what brought me to this great website. However, that is not what kept me here all this time. However, I would lying if I admit that was not the hook. Writing is something that I do a lot in my free time. To be able to be paid something for my writing, no matter how small, would be much appreciated.
However, while that was the hook, it was not the sole thing that kept me here. The great quality of discussion is something that really kept me here for all of this time. There always seems to be something interesting at this site. Really this goes even beyond the money, as the quality of discussion makes this an excellent site to be on. Still, the money was the hook while the discussion quality is what kept me here.

It is the wide and diversified range of interests that attracts me. As such I am able to express my thoughts, ideas and feelings (happiness and/or frustrations).
A great place to reduce stress too, by engaging myself "talking" and "thinking" about things not related to work. I don't think I can earn much myLot$$$ because I will not be able to devote too much time to it.

I found a mylot link thru a blog i stumbled on and i tried joining and i was surprised too that discussions and participation are great and even paid for.
I don't know if my upline is active but I'm sure she is earning from my participation here. I don't miss out each day to post or comment into a single topic.

The same applies to me! Now I log in almost everyday - to read, post or make comments. Now I have a little problems - replying to responses to the topics that I had started.
I hope those who responded to some of my discussions would forgive and pardon me if I am late at replying or sometimes even unable to reply.
Please pardon me!!!! My apologies, in advance!

I first joined, because it looked like an interesting site, a site where I could have some fun and earn a bit of money along the way. And I do have fun taking part in discussions and reading other people's opinion about day-to-day issues. Nowadays, I don't care so much for the money that I earn. It's more of a small bonus, for me anyway. For me, my earnings is taking part in discussions and what I've learned here.

I agree with you. The earnings here cannot make me rich, but the discussions are indeed very enriching.

hi metamorph,
At first, I just look at mylot as a money earning site which will augment the income I gained from encoding. But as time goes by, I realize that there are lots of opportunities mylot offers to us. Not only money, but it offers also information, knowledge, friends and more opportunity to gain money online. I am thankful for the making of this site because it is really one of the best site I always visited on net. I hope that there will also be other sites like mylot who helps people from different part of the world. Happy mylotting!

hi annie,
Eraning money was the last thing on my mind. In fact, I didi not expect that at all until I came on to join in some interesting discussions. After almost 1 month, my earning is $0.94. That is not even enough to buy me a cup of coffee. I agree with you that it is the information, knowkedge and friends (from different parts of the world) that I enjoy mylotting.
If I remember correctly, I did join in one of your responses to "How To Get Rid of Persistent Suitor?
Nice to meet you.

I came to earn some money. I'm not going to lie to you and tell you that I joined for any other reason. The discussions are interesting for the most part, but whether or not I make friends here is only of slight importance to me. I'm patient...I can wait until I make payout.

Honesty is indeed a great virtue!!! In fact, I do appreciate your honesty because that would give me a true sense of why people came to mylot. You are not alone as many hope to earn some money too.
All the best to you!

I will be honest, as honesty is a really important thing and not many people make use of it. I joined MyLot because I was short of money and any need is welcome. Also, if it's a fun way to make some extra income, like this one, it's even more welcome

I am "newer" than you. Earning $$$ is a pleasant surprise to me, although I don't think I can earn enough to buy peanuts - because I do not have the time to be active enough. Like you, I also enjoy meeting new friends and sharing ideas and knowledge.

The primary reason why I joined mylot is for the money.
I've learned of mylot when I was in another site where I post poetry but doesn't pay me anything because I am non-American.
So when I learned of mylot from one of the discussions there, I instantly left that place and moved here. hehe
But now I am not logging in on a regular basis because of time constraints.

I am just curious to know whether you were able to enough to you satisfaction, here at myLot. After about a week, I made barely over $0.60. Hence my suggestion to others like me to donated that for a good cause.
