The best supervisor I ever had was very demanding, but she was also very supportive and the most thoughtful person I have ever worked with. She never forgot a birthday or other major event in my life. She still buys me gifts for my daughter on holidays. She promoted me avery chance she had. I would have done anything for her. Who was your best supervisor and why?

i cant remember having a best supervisor...
i cant say i dont like them at all, its just i dont see them as a best supervisor, none that i have worked with have given encouragement or understanding to their subordinates.
you're lucky then to have worked with someone like her.

I agree. I never have been able to understand what supervisors think they will get by treating people badly. It certainly discourages good performance. Guiding people towards the way you want things done is a much better way of getting the response you want.

My best supervisor/s are Malaysians. They went here (Philippines) to establish a marketing business. They shipped products worth P15 Million. They entrusted me the caretaking of their warehouse, and even the whole company. I can remember Mr. Ho, he was like a father to me. I miss them so much, global financial crisis forced them to close business and go back home (Malaysia). I miss the sessions when after work, I will share to them the gospel.
