I want everyone to know i am not a outside person but sometimes u have to be. I have 3 nandeena bushes that needed trimmimng. I know it's probably not the time to be doing this so all u gardners don't fuss at me. lol. I read the other day if u would put a sheet down & throw all your cutting on it it would save u alot of steps. I don't get around very well so i thought it worth a try. Sure enough it saved me a bunch of steps putting all the cutting to the street for the city to pick up. I'm sure most everyone knows about doing this but maybe there is someone like me that didn't know it & it will help then. Have u ever tried this?

I can wiggle my nose, but it doesn't accomplish anything.

Brilliant, Jo! Although I´d have to make some minor changes to meet my town´s regulations, it will save me some time and throw away at the same time some plastics (I´ll use that instead of the sheet and then I´ll make a wrap.
Thanks, love!

Actually, I had not thought of it. It will save a lot of steps, but I will put the trimmings in the trailer to haul away or I will put them in compost. Trash collection will not pick up yard waste unless you pay an extra fee. It is an excellent idea to put it all together and move it one time.

I have not tried that out. I am a bit clumsy when it comes to gardening. I will trim them all and let it land on the ground. It will give me added job to clear the grounds of the debris. It is a good idea you're sharing the shortcut to be more efficient. That is real time saver.

Thank you dear for posting this helpful tip. Indeed it is now only that I realized would be really helpful to put the sheet down then throw all the cutting on it. It will not be so messy and surely will save you some time and effort. It is really worth trying. Thanks again for sharing!

Hi Jo! I bet your nandeena bushes are pretty. No, I've never trimmed any shrubbery, myself. I enjoy the outdoors but none of the women in our family ever did any work like this. I always got out and walked, rode horseback, or picked up trash next to the road. We used to keep a garden when daddy was living and I remember I planted some cantaloupes one time. They turned out very good, too. I also planted some flowers one time when he was living. I planted some Morning Glories one time but they didn't do so well. I planted some Sunflowers before that and they turned out really well. However, the horses ate the stalks, lol! I have some shrubbery that needs trimming now, as a matter of fact. I have a yard man to do mine every spring and summer and I will see if he can do it when he comes. Kathy.

All the women in my family have always worked in the yard. tHEY ALL ENJOYED IT & HAD BEAUTIFUL FLOWERS. i DON'T HAVE FLOWERS BUT I LOVE THEM. i HAVE ALSO GOT A BROWN THUMB INSTEAD OF A GREEN THUMB SO MY AUNT TOLD ME ONE TIME, LOL. It sure helped me to use the sheet. Maybe u will decide to do some trimming. I really enjoyed being out in the sun,Thanks for responding.
