Ive been a pretty big fan of the yankees (although Ive oly been into baseball for a year or two) and Im wondering if there are any Canadian teas that maybe I should be supporting instead. It feels kind of wrong to like and root for a team thats not part of my patriot heritage.

Unfortunately you only have the one Canadian team to root for, which is the Blue Jays. Not a bad choice although since they got rid of Roy Halladay last year it looks like they may be rebuilding for the next couple of years. But they do have a nice track record. I am a big Yankee fan so I can't necessarily blame you for choosing this team to root for and you shouldn't feel guilty about not rooting for a team from your homeland. I live in Florida but only follow the Marlins my heart is with the Yankees.

I think that the only Canadian team that is still around is the Toronto Blue Jays there was Montreal Expos, but they have in the last few years moved and became the Washington Nationals and were run by Major League Baseball, because they were going bankrupt up there or the ownership was really bad i can't remember.
The New York Yankees are a great choice, because i have been a fan of theirs since i was a little kid when my dad took me to my first game at the old stadium then last year they built that beautiful new stadium, which i would love to get to go see someday it looks amazing.
One thing about the New York Yankees you know they will probably be in the playoffs as they have only missed once in the last 13 or so years and you know that they will spend money and have a great team and since they won the World Series last year there will be a lot of teams like every year that want to knock them off personally i can't wait for the new season to start.
