Though I counted many I failed to count all! Still it is a good way to pass the time. Not only that counting reduce boredom, it can be entertaining also. The geometric patterns amaze me.

nope, I have never tried because I know that it is impossible, just because we lose orientation soon and lose the "trace", i mean that we can't actually remember which was the last one that we've counted. but have counted the falling stars many times when it star showers!

Dark night with sky lit up with stars has always fascinated me. I have counting stars since the childhood and I would still do it. Quite surprisingly in middle east countries you can see stars but you can count them on your fingers. I have always wondered why?

You make me remember my childhood, which was a so beautiful time. In the summer,it was very hot, so in almost every evening before i went to bed, i liked to lie on the bamboo bed outside, it was very comfortable with the natural wind, and then i started to count stars, at the beginning, there were only several stars on the sky, so i could count them, waiting the next star appearing and adding it. However, after a moment, when i blinked, a great deal of stars appeared, so that i could not count them clearly. LOL

Personally i have not tried counting stars because there's just too many of them. But i saw this group of stars the resembles a cross that i still keep watching at night if i have the time and if the sky is clear up to this day. It's not much fun staring at the sky at night if you live in the city which is my case. But i love to do it when i go for a vacation in the province. It's just a nice feeling staring at them while you hear crickets all around you and when you're alone.
