What is Barney's job?

Until season 5,I still do not know the job Barney does.He always suits up and seems to have much dollars.I want to know what does the guy do?

i thought he was just a blogger. but during season 4 they they have him at GNB.

I was reading online about his job and it seems like he works for a company that deals with weapons and nuclear missle
