Would you marry Count Dracula ?

Ottomar Rudolphe Vlad Dracula Prince Kretzulesco (1940-2007) was born Berbig in Germany and adopted in 1990 by a romanian princess descending from the true Count, to keep alive the glorious name of Dracula. This adoption was not really appreciated by his family : his two daughters refused to take the new noble name of their father. As Count Dracula had no son to continue his name, he tried to find and adopt a man worthy of wearing the name of Vlad the Impaler, with no success. By luck, he had a son in 2006 : Otti Vlad Dracula Junior : the name is saved ! Girls, would you accept to marry Count Dracula and to be called "Countess Dracula" ?

if he was born in 2006 he's a bit outside the age range i would normally consider suitable. however, as this is just fantasy i will ignore that problem. it would, of course, depend what he was like, but i may also be concerned that though he was not related by birth to the best known count dracula, behaviour patterns can be inherited not just through our dna. i would, to be honest, be a little nervous.

The late count was adopted and had no dna of Dracula's original family. However, maybe he has been bitten just before the adoption.

Good Heavens... I had no idea that people with name 'Dracula' existed.. I have read the book and after reading it I came to conclusion that this is a hateful name, which doesn't have a real existence.. .But today, I am undeceived... I would like to know more about this new Count!!! ;)

Yeah, it was truly a bad joke, if we may say so, without offending late Mr. Stroker... Well, thanks a lot for so much information.. I had always thought that Dracula was a name which had no existence beyond books, movies etc. I will definitely find more information about it... Thank you and have a nice time!!!

Well, if I have read through everything right, I have lost my opportunity to be the newest bride of the recently deceased Count Dracula (for obvious reasons), and the current one is not yet of marrying age ... nor will he be for many years. Therefore, I guess that it does not really matter whether or not I would. However, since you asked, I would have to say that if the title came with a real castle and estate, then I might just have to consider it.

First of all, old is a relative term. Second, if he was a vampire, then he should not have looked his age unless he was bitten when he was already wrinkly and "past expiration". Third, you never mentioned that he was ugly, although then I suspect I would get accused of being too focused on his looks. Fourth and most important, I do not care whether or not he is rich, although that would undoubtedly help with the upkeep of the castle and estate ... I just really have always wanted to live in a castle.

I can't say if the late count was ugly or not : I am not attracted by male vampires, but I don't think this one was deserving a price of beauty[not a vampire referral link, but a photo]: http://www.spiegel.de/international/zeitgeist/0,1518,grossbild-1026070-518776,00.html Castles' owners are often not rich enough to heat them in winter. Castles are very cold places for flowers, so you need to find one with a tropical greenhouse, instead of one with coffins in the basement. Just a suggestion.

It is sad to see how women would easily marry old and ugly men, even vampires, if they are rich. I am not sure about purple flowers, because I thought they need sun, but you certainly deserve to be bitten by a rich vampire during your wedding night.

Just because something is written on wiki, doesn't make it true. I'm Romanian, form the "Dracula country" and I've never heard a more absurd story that what you wrote here. No offense! This sounds great as a fan-fiction or something, but no more than that.

Hello Cris, Sorry, I find your response today only, because I had no notification. Indeed, I'm interested by Vlad the Vampire. If you have blogged about Dracula, send me a message with the link : I have not found it in the blog in your profile. I can't write in your language, but I read it, and it's not a problem if your text is in portuguese.

Hi Adalie, You come in a one year old discussion like a vampire appears suddenly from his coffin. I did not saw you since weeks. Were you in holidays ? The late count Dracula was not sucking blood, but he was collecting blood in his castle, saying that it was for the red cross. You are not late, but a bit in advance to marry the actual count Dracula : he is born in 2006.

I don't know if you are a vampire, but you have revived this discussion. It is why I see this comment : I thought that problems with the notifications were solved for me, and I see that I still don't receive all comments on comments... Vampire genetics is a mystery for me : as they have always the age of the day they were bitten, I believe that they have to bite their children one day or another. It is cruel. I am waiting for a good discussion from you.

You see by the time he is old enough to married somebody will find out that I am a vampire and it would be the end of it. He was born in 2006 this only shows me that I am terrible at adding numbers or more like, I wasn't paying attention. I haven't been around, but I am still here hiding and watching over you...hehe.
