Do you drive fast?

I was driving to work today and I'm alone in the car so i drove fast to not get late at work. I only drive really fast if I'm alone in the car. But if I'm driving with my family then i drive slow. I just started driving a year ago but i haven't had accidents.
I always think that if my family is my passenger then their lives are at my hands. We passed by an accident last night while going home from church. It was a head-on collision between two cars. The other car took the other ones lane so they crashed head-on. I just hope no one was seriously hurt.
You? Do you drive fast all the time you drive? How many car accidents have you had?

Depends what you call fast. Sometimes, I drive up to 100km/h and I think it's too fast already. Depending on the type of road and its condition. If it's a straight road, then I try to adhere to the speed limit. The 100km/h rarely happens, but I must be dreaming when I saw that on the speed meter though, ha. I am a pretty much safety driver, but I have this temper in me on the road which I need to control.

There are lots of curves here in our place so I only get to the high gear on straight ways and good roads too, we have lots of potholes and roughs in the way.
Temper could put you into trouble for sometime. I remember one driver who crashed into another car because he was chasing the other car who cut him on the way.

I don't drive like a stupid person, but I certainly don't drive that slow at any given speed. I usually do 60 mph wherever I go. Fortunately, I haven't had any accidents. I always try to stay as alert as I can. There are so many people that just can't drive well. Driving pathetically slow is dangerous too. the other day, there was person that doing only 50 mph on a 65+ mph freeway.

I try to drive within legal limits of the speed limit. Still I get drifting into my own thoughts or the music while driving and I've caught myself driving way over the speed limit and sometimes way under. It's usually late at night when I'm travelling home and no other traffic on the road and usually way over the speed limit. I've been pulled over so many times and the cops just give me a warning. During normal hours and in traffic, I pay 100% attention to the traffic and my driving. Where I live the traffic is so heavy at certain times that it would be crazy to do anything that would distract you for a second from the road. I have never been in a serious car accident and only had a couple of very minor fender benders. I have a very near clean driving record.

Yeah, I wonder why music let's your mind off things, especially while driving? Well be careful while having a mellow music because you might fall asleep especially at night. Most of the accidents here in our place involves asleep drivers. They usually crash while asleep in the bends. Congratulations for being one safe driver.

Hi there basqui. I consider myself fast driver, I often drive fast, but I never do that when there is a lot of traffic on the road and never when I'm driving someone. Actually, I got the ticket for speeding yesterday. I exceeded the speed limit for 50km/h. Even though I broke the couple of laws with that driving (too powerful car, no fire extinguisher in the car and no vehicle papers (I forgot them at home)) the policeman was very kind and he gave me the lower fine (about 250$). The road was empty and it really isn't dangerous (speed sign of 70km/h was set there couple of days ago and I was driving about 120km/h), but the law is law and I broke it. I haven't had any accident accept minor fender bender. When I was younger I used to drive even more faster. I remember when I was going to the seaside, my speedometer wasn't showing less then 200km/h with top of 235km/h. I'm not proud of it, it was dangerous and it was stupid. Nothing more to say. Take care and happy mylotting.

hell0! well, what do you understand with fast, because for some people 80km/h is fast, for othersit is 120 km/h and for third it is 200 km/h. well, everyone of us has driven at least once very fast, so have i done to, but in the most cases I try to observe the rules and to drive with the proper speed for the road, especially when it is slippery!

It depends. What do you consider fast?
I usually go no more than 10 miles over the posted speed limit. I tend to do this to avoid crazy drivers on my @ss. I've been doing this for a while so it's kind of become a habit even when there's no one behind me. LOL
I've had one accident in the 19 years I've been driving. It happened in a parking lot as I was backing out of a parking space so it was a very minor accident. That was about 8 years ago now.
Please keep in mind that not only are you risking your own life, but other peoples as well, when driving so fast. So, be sure to drive safe!
Happy mylotting!

Well my car runs only on four gears and I usually push it to the highest gear down a slope for some time, If no car is coming the opposite way.
I nearly ran into some minor accidents but it's because of the others faults. Well, it's better to arrive late than never right? I wouldn't want others to be hurt because of my fault. I'll keep those in mind from now on. Have a safe drive friend.

basqui, i drive carefully according to the allowed speed as shown on the highway. its better to be late than to rush. if needed be, start the journey early. i always say my prayers before i start on my mercy journey or anyone of my family members, relatives or friends who are driving or going on a journey. prayers are calming, make me feel good in the presence of God.

I don't really want to drive fast as except on the highway. Other places is very dangerous as any object may suddenly appear on your path. Maybe the padestrian crossing the road, or maybe the motorcycle. It is just not safe. Anyway, thank God, I haven't got into any accidents and hopefully will never got one.

Yeah, thank God i haven't got into any accidents yet since i started to drive. Pedestrians in my place are rare because it's road in the countryside, Wild animals though sometimes cross the road so those are the unexpected pedestrians. Motorcycle accidents do happen here because of the bends and rough parts of the road. Well, drive safe again my friend!

I don't have a license I don't have a car, I don't like cars, and when I have to go out with friends in a car, I don't like when he speeds up or does something crazy I feel uneasy in cars.

I drive pretty fast, not outrageously fast, but I do need to get places! I usually drive 5-10 miles over the "limit" because the limits are for bad drivers! I've never gotten in a real accident, just fender benders in parking lots because people arent watching where they're going and one time my breaks went out on a rainy day and I skid across the road, but nothing major has ever happened and I'm thankful for that. I'm not dangerous (usually) but in california sometimes you have to take minor chances just to get home!

Well, drive safe and arrive home safe, right? But if the road is almost empty then you could shift up to the limit so you should arrive home safely, right?
Other drivers on the parking lot just don't know how to park properly so your car is compromised. amph! Just be careful out there, Chao!

I try my best to stay within the speed limit for the most part, mostly due to the fact that i would hate to get pulled over and given a speeding ticket! Those are really expensive, and just not worth it! However, my car is very fast, and it is hard sometimes because i don't realize how fast i am really going. If i am really in a rush, i do tend to drive a little faster than i should, but i know i shouldn't. Sometimes you just can't help it!

I, myself, am considered to drive like "miss daisy" ..who is an
old old lady..lol.. When I recently drove up to NJ for some thing..
I was pulled over 3 times for driving slow on th slow lane.
The last state trooper who pulled me over said if you continue
driving like this .. we will have to inpound your car.
Luckily my next exit was near by.
Unfortunately..while in NJ ..lost my vehicle due to other reason;..

I have never had a car accident, and never had any problem with the police either while driving. I always drive under the speed limit, and try to be careful, as a car is a machine that goes too quickly, and many people die on the road because they forget that and run too much

Of course, personal safety and also the family's is very important down the road. Also pedestrians should be considered too, especially in the city where lots of people walk the lanes everyday and during busy hours. be careful down there friend, have a safe drive!
