How i'd like to work here in my country for I don't have to live thousand miles away from my family and relatives. However, the economy here in our country is deteriorating. It hasn't improved that much. That's why, most people dreamed to work abroad for they the mindset of getting rich or having a good life when you're abroad. It's difficult but now.. I changed my mind. If there's an opportunity for me to work abroad I'll grab it. Because i don't only need it but for the whole family and the nation. They get more taxes from overseas workers. How about you? May i have your reasons, to work abroad or to work in your own country?

Many people venture to go abroad to seek employment where they can't find good prospects in their own country. When you are still young and capable, it is good to gain more experience outside your country. Bring yourself to where your experience and qualifications earned you better income abroad. Indirectly, it will be good for your country's economy.

hell0 there ! of course that I prefer to work in my own country, because all my friends and my relatives are here and if I have to go to work abroad, then i would be all alone, because no one would come with me maybe! but as I see the conditions here are getting worse and worse and maybe I will have to leave my country soon and go abroad in order to secure myself a better life!

I would prefer to stay in my own country as I would not want to be away from the things that I know permanently. Also, I would miss my family far too much to be away from them for more than a few weeks at a time. If you are abroad and something bad happens then it's sometimes hard to be home to support your friends and loved ones in time.

i would love to work here in my country coz my friends and family are here and im already familiar with the surroundings and no need for me to adjust. but if given a chance and with a good offer to work abroad then why not. somehow i also need to live everything behind in order to have a good future ahead of me besides i can come back anytime.

It good to work abroad because you are going to earn a lot of money but I never thought about it. I want to go abroad but not work there. If there's a chance for me to go there, I'd rather be a tourist than work my guts out for money. I think there are a lot of people these days who are not satisfied with what they earn in our country because the salary is not enough. I understand their situation anyway cause the salary that you will earn here is not going to make you rich. One of the main reasons why I dont want to work abroad is that I will have to leave my family. I dont think its going to be very healthy for my husband and my kids if I would have to leave them. A family should be intact to be called a family. Though we will probably say that its going to be for the family's financial stability, its still better that kids will grow up with both the mother and the father taking care of them.

if you have good paying job in your country why leave and be away from family? But if it's really hard to find good paying job in your country then you better work abroad. i did worked abroad, and it's really a big difference than working low paying job in your country. We were able to have good nice house, new appliances, clothes and send my brothers and sisters in school. But now, I am married so life has changed since then. What I mean is, working abroad is much better if you can take to be away from your family, life would really improved as long as the money is spent wisely..not just anyhow spent like what other people doing thinking they have somebody working abroad so it don't matter how you spent it. But they never realize how hard to work abroad.

That's what i have observed!! People who worked abroad have earned a lot and have improved their way of life. but i am definitely aware that working abroad isn't that easy. There would be a lot of adjustments. People there take their jobs very seriously. They always work, work, and work.

I prefer to work in my own country because my family lives here. I can't imagine I work abroad and leave them alone here. Even if my income may be better, but I will feel homesick since I really miss my family. I love China

I would prefer working near my family. The economy is pretty horrible here too but I don't think I would be able to leave my family to go somewhere far away just for a good working opportunity. I would rather have less pay with a worse job than leave my family. Ah well, I'm still in school but I'll make this decision eventually.

I prefer working in my own country. But if the pay is really much higher, like at least three or four times the salary I am currently receiving, then maybe I would work abroad. Another factor would be the reputation of the company itself where I will be working. It needs to be a topnotch multinational corporation. The last factor would be how long I need to be work abroad. I will work abroad only if it is less than five years.

As of this time, me and my husband are working abroad. I can say that being away from your comfort zone is not easy. You've got to be independent at all times because you don't have any relative that you could run to in case problems would arise. You will be missing a lot of people, your parents, your brothers and sisters and everyone. At this point in time we have decided that as soon as our contracts will be finished then we will go home for good and we will start our family there in the Philippines. We can say that working abroad is not good but with the current situation of our country then most likely many of our fellowmen will chose to live and be away from their family in exchange for a better future.

absolutely!! OFW's have sacrificed a lot for a better future. Even how hard it is they choose to go abroad leaving their family behind. It's not easy to work abroad where you don't have anyone to run to in case problems would arise. And, honestly, that's one of my fears if i have got a chance to work abroad.

I've been lucky enough to bring my family where I work. We had to move half way around the world, and away from friends and family, but at least we're all together. I agree that it is difficult to be away from family, and I don't ever want to do that.

I'll leave my country and work abroad because there are things that my country could not give specifically giving a high salary. Though its hard but sometimes we have to sacrifice some things in order to get what we wanted.

I live in a very poor and corrupt country and aside from that my family lives in the US now and my relatives are in Japan. I only have one cousin left here in the PI, and i don't have a lot of friends. But still, i want to stay here. I love my country. Though there's not much to love about it, but it seems that i love everything about it. I love the fresh air of our farm, the wind, the burning sun, the smelly and polluted air of our city, the muddy sand when it rains, the simple life, i just love it here.

I am not done with receiving my education yet, so I am not working at the moment. I think that after completing the educational process I would like to work in my homeland. I don't want to be far away from my family for a long time. I would consider going abroad to receive some additional training or to get some experience in my work field, but I would surely return back home. I think that when I finally receive the necessary education, I will be able to earn good money here in my homeland.

i don't even own a passport, but i would absolutely love to work in another country. i feel like it would be such an experiment that i wouldn't even have the same worries i do working in this country, it would make things easier as i would be more free to learn and grow and experience new things.
