hi,
I am having a laptop which is getting heated due to the heat in the atmosphere. As it is summer the sun is always on and i can not stop the frequent power cuts due to which cooling systems can not be provided....I am using USB fan which is also getting heated due to the heat. Anyone facing the same problem and how to protect it.My work is getting delayed due to this. :(

I think a passive heat-absorbing cooling mat would worth trying, that is what I am using right now.
Those pssive cooling mats are very simple to use, they don't use any power at all, but rather they have crystal-like substances inside to absorb the heat.
The crystals will absorb the heat from the computer, and over time they will melt into gel-like substances, and the liquid form will help the heat to disperse quickly.
Depending the temperature of your computer, the mat will reach its heat absorption capacity in around 4-6 hours. But if you take the mat out, it will cool down, and the crystals will reform, therefore you can reuse it again and again.
For me, although I can't say my laptop is ice cold, but it is certainly not burnning hot, and fan is not as loud as before, since the mat surface is made uneven for better ventilation, it beats just sitting on a flat surface.

I got mine from Ebay for $20, but there are other similar ones around $10-15. You just need to search "cooling mat" there, and you should see them apart from the USB fans.
Compare to the USB fans, those mats are generally cheaper, and they are good for cushions when using laptop on your lap, as you won't feel the burn from the bottom of the computer.

what i do i elevate my laptop, by putting 4 empty containers of tictac (the sweet mint) and what this does is it helps circulates the air at the bottom, which really helps if i have to leave my laptop on for long time. and the best idea is to leave the aircon on while ur laptop is on, if not, a fan would do the job also. just face it direct towards the bottom of the laptop

heat is the worst thing for computers/laptops. overheat.. and it will, ironically, freeze the OS. it seems people have already suggested that laptop-cooler-mat-thingy to you. i tried it before but it did not work as well as i had hoped. but those things are not too costly.
what i did when it got too hot and air conditioning is not working too good, i would go to a cafe and work there. somewhere there isn't too many people and have a decent coffee. and of course good air cond
