Hi mylotters!! Today I come across many similar discussions. The topic and theme of the discussion are similar, hopefully they are not copy pasted. But I am astonished to see that they are not deleted by the mylot administration.. I was really disappointed. Previously, two to three of my discussion got deleted due to this very same reason.Though, honestly speaking,I didn't copied it. So,how would you have reacted to see all these discussions...??? Please share your views and opinions.. Thanks! Happy Mylotting.

hi tuyakiki it depends on how you mean they are similar as there could be five different discussions on schoolteachers like one would be a rant about teachers have so much time off during the summer, another might be a person telling about her taking teaching education and asking questions about it, another could be telling about how one particular teacher helped her to succeed in her career, yet another might be telling about a certain historical person who was a noted teacher, now these are all on the subject of teachers but they are not at all alike.I think a lot ofpeople here think if two or three are about say medicine but are vastly different that just because both had the same topic they were similar but that is just not so. there are only so many topics but there are a zillion slants on them so a lot are not at all similar. please do not get delete happy. its better to miss some than delete things that are not similar at all. let mylot admins worry about that more.

I've seen several discussions that have been discussed in the past. I don't like this because some are the same discussions I started months ago. I tend to forget to make sure certain discussions haven't already been started before I start them. I'm trying my best to remember these days, though. I remember when I first joined mylot a year ago, I read in the rules that you're supposed to make sure a discussion hasn't already been posted before you post it. I was beginning to think if it's an old discussion, that might make a difference. Kathy.

You do not have to remember. Just 'search' discussions by putting down the key word and you will get to that discussion if it is already there.

hi tuyakiki, Oh... if that would be the case I will ask for some clarification with regards to my deleted discussion. But make sure you haven't really violated any rules. There are incident before that an original discussion by a mylot member was copied on blogger by some fella. The funny thing was, her (mylotter) discussion got deleted because it was reported to admin that it was copied somewhere else. But later on it was reinstated because it was proven to be her original discussion and admin was so nice to put it back. BUT, if it was a discussion that was repeatedly posted in here, like topic that was so redundant although it was your own words, I guess admin has the right to remove it. Since, repeated discussions are not allowed in here. Honestly, I'll be cool about it. I know you are somewhat disappointed but, think of it as a challenge for you to make another awesome topic. And I know for sure that you can do it!

I've seen a few which are really similar! I agree that those need to be deleted. But, I've also seen a few which only looks similar, but if you actually read it, they ask for different things. I am that way sometimes. The topic may be the same, but I ask for something off-tangent. That makes the discussion fun. It even brings out other ideas out in the open. So, I don't mind it. As long as it is not copy-pasted, as you say.

Please report the discussions and we'll decide whether they need to be removed.

Its not needed actually.I really don't remember the interest category where I had found those discussions.....Yesterday,I come across certain discussions while going through some discussion under a specific interest. Anyways,Thanks!

Dear tuyakiki..you shouldn't get jealous about that..after all, the world is a fair place^^. I believe the admin has their own records and rules about this..for example, my discussion regarding MyLot Games got deleted for that reason...so it really depends on the topic...And I believe they don't copy paste the disussion as well..

I find so many of the discussions are repeditive. Sometimes i will see an interesting discussion then go into it to discover it had been deleted. I cant see from what i had already read no reason why it was. But i havent a clue what administration is doing here. I just keep trying to earn. Thats it. Its like a risk to post anything because ya never know.
