Does anyone have a pet that's in love with you?

That may sound wierd. But I have a black cat that always meows when I come home or if he can't find me. If I don't come home early he will be sitting staring out the front window apparently waiting for me. He sleeps right next to me everynight, and during the day he's always following me or running to me to either play or rub his head on me and purr. Everyone in my family says he's only like that with me and I think it's the sweetest thing! If I take a bath I can hear him meowing on the other side of the door like he's "looking for me". It's adorable!! I feel like he understands "come here" and "give me a kiss" (rubs his face against mine). He's gotta love me right! He is the sweetest kitty. I actually found him under my car one morning, he was a stray. Maybe his cute actions means he's thankful for me taking care of him and comforting him when he was young and afraid. I had the impression that cats weren't really friendly in general, but I really feel like this animal looks at me like his mama. So sweet. And isn't it the best feeling in the world when an animal, being a completely different species, finds reason to love you? Anyone else have pets like this? I'm a kitty and dog lover. I've had my dog for about ten years now, and i've had my black kitty less than a year and I still almost feel like my cat loves me more. My dog will follow me, bur he won't "wait" for me or "look" for me or try to sleep with me everynight. My dog pretty much will get excited when he first sees me, but after that he won't be as interested and he'll do something else. Like his way of saying "hello" in a happy nice way, like, "I love you and I'm happy to see you". But in comparison, my cat is much more consistant. Can cats love? If so, more or less than dogs? I'm interested please comment!!
