I feel like quitting my job. I don't know why but i feel like bored and tired of it. I wanted to try another job but it's very difficult to find a new one here in my country. Why should i feel like this? It affects my energy to go to work. I don't like what i'm doing now.
Probably, this feeling will just pass.. what do you think?
or should i quit and just try to find a new one?
oh no..
I'm very much confused..

I know the feeling. Don`t do anything hasty. Make a list of why you feeling this way.Maybe you just need a change of scenery. This however does not mean that changing your job will make you feel better. What if you do find another job & three months down the line you find yourself feeling the same about the new job. You must remember that there are two sides to change. It could be for the better or worse. So,take your time and examine YOURSELF and then do what is right for you.
At the end of the day you are the one going through the challenges of your life and the decisions YOU make is your resposibility. We can only advise but the choice is up to you.
Don`t quit without having something lined up to support you financially!!
We must all work to pay our bills.
Best of luck

Yes, I think that's the best thing to do. I have to examine myself. I'm afraid that i'll be feeling that way again if i find another job. And I need money so maybe I really have to make a plan.

you might just tired working everyday thats why you feel that way, in fact all people think the same way, theres no job that is not tiring or boring theres no job that is easy as they will not going to pay you while all you have to do is just sit down in your chair the whole day without doing anything. even if you look for another job same things you will feel. you might transfer to another job or stay there same thing will happened. what you need is to learn how to accept and like nor love your job as its part of your daily life. think of those who work under the sun trying to pull out plumber or digging the road or those farmers whose always in the farm under the sun, they are more tired that you have as you might just work inside office only. you must at least be thankful coz you have a job like that. just try to do something to stay away from boredom while at work. just think of the salary day where you will able to get your salary and enjoy it to the fullest, make plan, try to be creative, bring something at work that might get you out from boredom than think of your boring job.

i think you're right. I've been to other companies already and i still feel this way. All i have to do i think is to learn how to accept and love my job. I just don't want to feel this way forever or i will end up having a miserable life.
I need to learn how to accept and love my job. I should really do that.

I think your burned Out of your routines in life. try on something new instead when you have your weekend off, like try go on hiking or be active on a Social or Environmental Organizations, try wall climbing or have a swim. it's true that it's hard to find a job this days and also in the status of the country your in.
If your job is boring on the weekdays then compensate it for a enjoyable weekend. relax and have a massage, learn a sport.

I also want to quit my job because my boss is taking me personally, she even demoted me. My job is as a recruitment assistant and I belong to the international division and have my own comfortable working station. But when my new boss got promoted, her first action was to put me in the reception and assigned me as a receptionist. I have a lot of pending works because I always attends the applicant and guest coming to our office. my former boss told me that she hates my department so much and she is doing anything to dissolve my department. She is very unfair to me especially now that I am 7 mos pregnant and my place makes me very hard to move.

ohhh. we have the same dilemma... i also feel like quitting my current job. It's like I've been working hard but my salary is not enough to pay my effort I've given. I feel like it's unfair on the employees side. I feel tired and bored on doing the same routine everyday. I want to try applying to other companies. But come to think of it, I think after I'll be hired to another company, I believe I will also feel this way. I think it's a reality of working. It's also hard to find a new job this days. I really do not know what to do now...

It's easy to find a job in any country if you have high education and skills, most people skip or don't care about school while people like me work hard !
Then they complain that jobs are hard to find, well let me tell you something, I speak 4 languages, I'm a painter, modeler, animator and sculptor, and I'm still in collage !
Jobs are searching me I don't search for jobs, you should have stayed in school studying, how dare you complain -_- !

I'm going to assume that it's pretty normal because I've been going through the same thing lately. I've thought about quitting my job quite often simply because of issues with the admin that are slowly driving me and several other people mad. Also, it is getting kind of boring. I feel like I do the same thing each day and each day I don't get enough credit for it.

Yep its normal. Even if you love your work you could have a bad day, deal with unreasonable clients and cowokers or a new manager whose a real jerk and feel like walking right out of there. Stress will do that. Thats when its time to stop and take a breather.

hi tess_quinain,
It is normal to feel bored with our routinary activities. As for me, I am not bored in teaching because it is my field of interest. But because of the very low salary the school is giving to me, I decided to quit my job. I just file a resignation letter last week, telling them that I will just work with them up to March 30. I think, if you do not feel interest with your job anymore, then it is ok to quit and find another job which you think is better. It is ok because how will you have a professional development if you no longer feel the enthusiasm in working there. If I were in your position, I will definitely look for another job which I enjoy. I think that will help me more as a person. However, if you have financial difficulties, I think before quitting your job, you must assure first that there is a sure job for you out there so you won't have much problems in the future.

Honestly, I also feel the same thing like you do. But, I really tried to stopped this wrong thinking of mine because it's too difficult to look for a new job here in the Philippines. I don't want to make my life and my family miserable just because I am bored with my current job. I have to fight it. Because I really worked hard in order to be on what I am right now. I just keep on thinking the bills which I have to pay in order for me to be inspired in working everyday....

Just a thought. Maybe one of the reasons you feel like you're getting bored on your job regardless of the company is because you are in the wrong line of work. Maybe you don't really like the profession you have chosen. I know there are people who chose a certain line of work because they know it will give them a job. Sometimes, these people don't really like that kind of work but will still do it. Thus, in the end, some of them aren't really happy with their present jobs because that's not what they really wanted to do in the first place.
Maybe you should look in yourself. What things that you enjoy doing? When I was in highschool, I knew I would have to choose a course related to math. I had a choice between computer science, accounting and a math teacher. I didn't choose comsci (although now sometimes I wonder why, they earn so much! And I still love things related to the computer). I chose being a math teacher because I knew I like being around people. I really think I would get bored out of my mind spending 8 hours in front of the computer or the accounting books. I knew this because I had an OJT in the accounting department of my mom's office. Anyway, thus, I am happily a teacher. So far, I don't I've gotten bored on the job although I definitely get tired. But I don't feel it until the end of the day, which is better than feeling tired or bored to do your work the whole day.
So that's my personal take on your dilemma. Hope it helps!

This is so normal!
Try to weigh the pros and cons of your job though.
Remember, finding a job is not so easy nowadays.
What's good about your job? What are the things you deem are making you think of quitting?
And then focus on the positives. Everyday try to find more and more positive things about your job, until it overshadows the negative aspects. Are you helping people? Is this a place where your friends are? etcetera etcetera
Just remember even musicians think of quitting their so called dream job which is to live an exciting fast paced life... how much more for us normal people who have mundane jobs right?

I would suggest that u look for another job b-4 laving this job. It is easier to get a job when u already have one. That way you get a good reference.

I feel what you feel, but I don't want to look for another job and attend interviews so what I did was I started thinking of all the good things about my job instead of the negative things, that way I won't affect my performance at work, and it would motivate me to work even harder.
Think twice before leaving your current job, cause you can never really go back. Make sure that that's what you really want before you go for it.
