Before I don't really go to church during Sundays and I seldom do that. I do believe in God since I am a child. When i take my board exam I I pray real hard to God that I may pass my exam with flying colors. I then begun to attain church every Sunday.
I do pass my board exam and I knew God heard my prayers and it was effective.
Now I have a new illness and I keep on praying to God for the cure. I ask and pray that he will heal my illness and I knew he will grant my prayers one day. You just have to believe in God and he will take care of the rest.

I do believe in God. I don't worship him through the rules/laws of any one organized religion, but try my best to live by the "golden rule." If you life by the rule of "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you" then you're basically living the life God would want you to live.

Actually, there's more to it than just doing unto others as you would have done unto you. That's a very good rule to live by, but God expects more. Just look at the 10 Commandments, for example:
1. You shall have no other Gods above me
2. You shall not make for yourself an idol (e.g., putting money, work, family above God is having an idol)
3. You shall not take the name of the LORD your God in vain
4. Remember the Sabbath day, and keep it holy (this means that SATURDAY, not Sunday, is the Lord's Day)
5. Honour your father and mother
6. You shall not murder
7. You shall not commit adultery
8. You shall not steal
9. You shall not bear false witness (lie)
10. You shall not covet
And believe it or not, there are 613 commandments all together. If these are just 10, could you imagine what God expects of us overall??? Thankfully we have Jesus to intercede with God on our behalf. We can't possibly obey all those commandments... The Bible says that "...all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." (Romans 3:23) But just because Jesus is our intercessor does not mean that we can abuse His free gift of grace. We still have to TRY to keep the commandments. Through keeping the commandments, you will definitely "do unto others as you would have done unto you."

for me, an effective prayer is an answered prayer.

I pray to God a lot but I think God has other plans for me because the prayers are not yet answered. I know I have to leave it up to him but I'm already losing my mind because of a lot of financial problems.
I know God has given me blessings already in terms of finances but I hope He can shower me more because the people I owe money to are constantly knocking on our doors for us to cough up the money.
I do hope you get to pray for me and my family that we survive this crisis. We need all the help we can get. Thank you in advance.

I am totally open with god. I think God knows me very well than I know about myself. I belive in God. I am obedient to God. I love god. But the main problem is ' I am very lazy to spent much time for prayers. Some times concentration is also difficult for me.
