What are your favorite charities to give (either your time or your money) to, and why? How do you decide who deserves your time and money the most - or is there a certain problem that you feel most strongly about (such as poverty, politics, etc..)?

I tend to support animal charities and children's charities. That is because I love animals and children. Sometimes I support the disabled, the elderly and the poor. I think of those as being quite needy ones. I am wary of giving to medical charities because I don't like animal testing which is very cruel.

I support several different charities.
Salvation Army Christmas Program - Donate my time as well as buy gifts for children.
Meals on Wheels - Support with items for clients. They also have a program where they provide pet food for thier clients, so I help by donating for this also.
School Supply Drives - Donation of school supplies for children who otherwise would not have them.
Veterans First - Donations of items for homeless vetrans.
Church Youth Groups - Support by helping with anything they need, time, items or money.
I typically support those charites that are locally based and support members of my local community. Humanitarian issues are of my greatest concern.
