Did anyone watch the world championship?
Daisuke Takahashi is the first Japanese man to win.
He is an awesome skater!
I was a little depressed, though, that Johnny Weir was not there, because he dropped out. But then he showed up as a commentater, so I'm happy after all!

Daisuke is awesome! He's got a lot more flair than most of the Japanese figure skating men that have competed in recent years. He tries to at least be "different". Johnny Weir definitely has "flair"!
My daughter is happa too and likes to figure skate like me too!

Hi!
I like Daisuke, too. I'm not to impressed with the other Japanese choices, like Oda.
Johnny is definately my favorite...there's just something about him...
Is your daughter bilingual? Mine speaks mostly English, but understands some Japanese words and phrases.

Well, I spoke more Nihongo when she was very little, but as I'm rusty myself and have been lazy about it, she is by far better with English!! She used to know the a-i-u-e-o's and reading them, but as we haven't done it for a long time, it may be forgotten! Oh - forgot to mention she just turned 5.
Yah, at least Daisuke tries to be "modern". I personally like watching Johnny because he is a lefty skater like I am - hee hee - so I can watch how he does his moves and learn from it.
