Nowadays, we're experiencing hot weather because of the global warming. Just like us humans, dogs are susceptible to heat stroke. But because they're smaller, covered with fur and unable to tell us directly that they feel ill, it can be hard to tell when they are at immediate risk.

Plenty of fresh water. Cannot stress this enough. When thirsty they will look for things to drink and they might be poison for them. Keep our pets safe and healthy!

Ways to help prevent your dog from having heat stroke are:
Provide plenty of clean cool fresh water. If your dog is getting over heated it will start pantting more. This causes the dog to drool and loose even more fluids.
Give them a small amount of water to wade in. Dogs do not have sweat glands like humans so the only place that they can sweat from is between the pads of thier paws. If you allow them to wade in shallow water this will cool these glands thus cooling the dog.
Keep them in a well ventalated area. Stuffy hot air will cause your dogs body temperature to go up. So if possible keep them in a cool place out of direct sunlight.
