Before the Health Care Bill was passed he said several times, "It's just like the Health Care that Congress has........."I didn't know that Congresses Health Care had a death clause in it or they would be limited to the medicine they could get, or if their handcap children or parnets would be limited to the care they get...... Well could it be that he lies about everything he wants to do.......... How much longer do we have to put up with his lies.....He's lied on every thing he haa done.......I think the only thing he wants to make us just like Russia cause of all the people he has in his Czar panel........ The lies they tell makes people sick........I hope that anyone who is a true American vote these people out of office.....It's time for us to go to the polls and vote to get our country back........ Before you go to the polls make sure you know what your canidate stand for.....and not because of a party........I'm sick of people who complain when they don't care enough to go to the polls and vote.......Thats one of the reasons that these socialist got into office.....

Even though I dislike Obama and his "health care reform" - technically he is not lying. The reform bill allows people who already have health insurance to keep their current policies. Since Congress already has health insurance for it's members; they can keep that health insurance and are not required to change policies just like anyone else who already has a health insurance policy.

You had better go read that bill again cause he has a clause that says you have not choice in your health care and when you need medicine they have the say if you get it..........the health care bill gives you no choice.......

You can keep your Health Insurance as long as it meets the minimum requirement established by the Sect of Health. How many Insurance Companies are going to stay in busienss if they have to accept everyone who applies reguardless of their health care needs. Under this bill no one should buy insurance until they get sick or injured. No matter what you policy says you get the care the Government says is the most cost effective.

Actually, quite a few will stay in business. You see not all insurance companies sell to individuals. Some insurance companies are individual policies only; some sell group health insurance only; and others sell both types of health insurance. Companies who only sell to groups (businesses, churches, unions, and local governments) have always had to accept everyone who met the employment (or employee dependant) requirement. Those companies have been doing quite well. Companies which sell both group and individual polices also have enough experience with the group insurance market that they should be able to adjust. The companies that will have problems are the companies that sell individual policies only and have been keeping their rates artificially low by "cherry picking". "Under this bill no one should buy insurance until they get sick or injured." Only if they want to pay a sizable "tax" penalty each and every year PLUS pay for minor medical needs as they occur. The tax penalty is not a normal income tax and cannot be eliminated or reduced with deductions and tax credits. Minor medical needs arrive faster than you can submit an application. I had a friend who thought she could get away with out having health insurance through work (monthly cost to her - $92.79 )and she was going to "save" her money to pay off her car loan faster. Two months later she caught a virus that was going through the office and it would not go away, she just kept getting worse - so she went to the doctor and found out that her "virus" was actually pneumonia - her bill for doctor visits, xrays, lab tests, and prescriptions was over $800 and she got these bills over a period of 3 days (no time to submit an application). She was fine and had no more health expenses until she was able to apply again during open enrollment - but, her total annual savings of $1113.48 was reduced to $313.48 and at the time she got sick she had not saved enough to even cover them. She missed work for a few days while she got better. She also was not able to her annual check because she could not afford it and had to put it off until she got her group insurance back. If she had had to pay a "tax penalty" on top of that she would have lost money not saved anything! Healthy people who put off getting the insurance until they get sick will soon find out it is cheaper to get the insurance especially if they qualify for the tax subsidies to pay for it. After all even healthy people have accidents and one emergency room visit for a sprained wrist or ankle, a broken bone , or even stepping on a piece of glass or a nail will eliminate any "savings" they would have by not paying for the insurance.
