My friend and I have been planning to go see a movie for 6 months or since we found out it was coming out. Anyway, last weekend we tried to go, but something came up and she couldn't. She said that maybe we could go see it later with her sister. We were going to hang out on Saturday, but she said she had stuff to do, I later found out that she went to see it with her sister that night. She didn't even tell me, I saw it on her sisters facebook. Does this sound like a good friend?

Well I don't think it was rude but it certainly was not a nice thing of her to do. You could ask her why she went to the movies without you, and that she could have said if she did not want to go with you. That she lied about having stuff to do is not nice either. It does not sound like she is a very nice friend.

No, that doesn't sound like a good friend to me at all. She should've called you up and told you that she had time to go after all. Maybe she's avoiding you for some reason. I think you should talk it out with her instead of posting it as a discussion on mylot.

No,it doesn't sound like a good friend to me.I'm sorry to know that she went to see the movie without you.But maybe there is some reason. You should ask her directly,if she gives you a good reason, you two can still be good friends. But if she is trying to avoid the topic or just make some lame excuses, then there is no need to regard her as your good friend any more.

I think she prefers to be with her sister. Just out of respect, she should have told you so that you wouldn't expect. She should explain her side though, to know what's her side of the story.
