Friends always come to me whenever there is a problem because I'm so patient in listening to them and I can provide creative solutions. I don't force them to accept my answers. It's up to them to decide whether it's beneficial for them or not to do as I advised them too. Usually, I'm correct.

When someone asks you to solve his or her problem, especially if it's not mathematics involved, then that person really trusts you and really thinks you have what it takes to help. And solving that problem would bring you two more together and he or she will honor you more as a friend.
The issue about the pressure is right, it does allow you to solve difficult problems much easier, but again it's would be a pity not to involve when a friend asks for your help.

Whenever people, especially my friends, have a problem, I would just let them vent out and I would just listen to them. More often, that's just what they need - sometime to cry on to and to listen to them pour their heart out. Only if they need my comment, suggestion or advice that I would speak my mind out. Otherwise, I'd just keep silent.

Yeah, if im stuck in my own problems, it clears my head somehow to help others out. Plus, it feels pretty good to help.
