I loved my NY Jets but I don't think I will renew my season ticket

I have been a NY Jets fan for the last 20 years. I was on the waiting list ever since I got out of college (over 15 years ago) with my first job hoping one day I will be able to have a chance to be a season ticket holder.
Then in late summer of 2009, I got an email from Jets' season ticket office saying that my season ticket is ready to be purchased. I was happy to say the least, I quickly snapped up the 2 tickets that I have always wanted to buy, which I was hoping to take my kids to when they grow up. I was placed in section 332, great seats. This is the season that NY Jets traded up in the NFL draft to get Mark Sanchez, their much talked about quarterback of the future, the next Joe Nameth.
Then as I started to go to the games, I then realized after talking to some people there the reason why I was able to get the season tickets. The Jets are moving to a new stadium next year!!! The previous season ticket holders who have already got their tickets for the new stadium decide not to renew the 2009 tickets because they already have the ones for 2010. Why spend the money for the 2009 season when it is supposed to be a rebuilding season with a rookie quarterback? Why waste the $700-$1000 for the season ticket for 2009 when the economy is in the dumps?
Anyway, I was totally annoyed to find out why they were able to offer me the season ticket. Then to add insult to injury, the new pricing structure in the new stadium require you to pay the PSL (personal seat license), which is the right to buy the the season ticket. And if you don't buy the PSL, you will get the worst seats in the house. When the ticket office called me, they basically said I don't have to pay for the PSL, but my seats will be the last 2 rows on the end zone in the highest part of the new stadium.
Even though I am a big time Jets fan, to spend $1000 for the season ticket and be so far away from the action just doesn't make too much sense.
What do you think?

Couldn't imagine paying that much money to not see the game. If you are going to spend that money why not get the NFL package on cable/satalite and see all of the games up close and without having to sit in the freezing cold. I know there is a certain excitement about going to a live sporting event but that is a bunch of money not to have a good view of all of the action.
