If your cell phone fell down in toilet....Do u pick it...and use it further..?

I know someone that this happened to. The same person also dove into a swimming pool with her phone in her pocket. Now she gets the insurance.

If that happens to my phone, i will definately throw it away and buy a new one. No way i will use that one again. TATA.

Hi, well it never happened, but if it does, i will try to pick out some way and clean it. I value my mobile very much, its like a friend. I cant throw away just for this. I will try to make it hygenic and use it back.

yes... i had an experience.. i dropped my mobile in that kind of watered sides in our streets here in Asia... those sides filled with dirty water.. coming out from our houses... when i just dropped my mobile in it.. i just didn't think that i can b really dirtier from my own.. because it contains not only mine.. but other's as well.... i just suddenly put my bare hand deep into it... and searched for my mobile because i could not see it... and then i found it... i just puuled out the battery.. and went into my home and washed it with water.. cleaned it... it had some some errors... but i got it repaired...

Yes I would, after it has been properly cleaned ofcourse. The worst part would be getting the thing out of the toilet though! I think a lot of phones could survive being under water for a minute or two, but some will ofcourse fail and require repairs or replacement, which sucks.

If it is not very dirty , is ok . As long as it functional and with digusting stain on it , i will still use it again.

It is happened to my friend .She took it from the hole,but there was some water in the cell phone ,and it couldnot work. If i was her ,i think i didn't do it .it is dirty .

no i don,t pick up phone the toilet because this phone not very much money but if the phone is very much money .i will be thinking.

I don`t know if this happen i maybe will pick my phone up but i`m not going to use it anymore it depends if the toilet is clean i will pick it up and i will use it again and if it`s not clean i maybe won`t pick it up.

If my cellphone drop down in the toilet, I will try to take it out from the stinky hole. That is my only cellphone!! My steps: Take a deep breath, look into the hole, say goodbye to your hand, try to pick up your phone in the 'fresh' water, after pick the phone out, wash YOUR HAND!, wipe your phone, dry it and try to use it. If the phone won't work anymore, just bury your cellphone... One of my friends told me some good info. If my phone drop down into water, remove the battery from the back of your phone and let it dry out naturally for a few days. Don't forget to wipe any excess water!.

I have two cell phones. One is multimedia and one is ordinary. The ordinary phone was gifted by my Girlfriend. If the ordinary phone falls down on toilet, I will pick up that certainly. Thanks bro for the interesting question.

I would pick it up immediately and turn it off and take the battery out. I may also just bring it to be repaired or just let it dry. Put it inside a plastic bag and place the plastic with phone in a box of rice. It is said that the moist or wetness of the phone would be gone because the water would be absorbed. Keep it there for a few days and never dry it using a blower.

it already happened to me. My cellphone dropped on the toilet, i even washed it on the sink and I let it dry. When it is already dry I use it again and fortunately I still can use it. When it dropped on the toilet I quickly pick it up. i do not care if the toilet is dirty, for me what is important is my phone .

I know its a dirty situation and i mostly stays neat and clean but i am poor guy and cant afford to buy a new one so i will close my eyes and wrap my hand with some plastic shopping bags and dig it out of it because i was collecting money from last 1 year to buy this one and i cant afford another one. I will never share this with anyone and claims that it fell in my bath tub.

As germy that this is. I would find some solution to clean it off with. If it is still working, I would use it. But I would make sure that it is cleaned with a strong antibacterial solution first.

of course I will always be careful when using mobile phones. I will not use the phone if I'm on the toilet. because I never use the phone while on the toilet, so I do not have to think about, what should I do if my phone fell in the toilet.

I will pick up it again, clean it with water and dry it until I can use it again. I will open my cellphone end clean every part with disinfectant. after do tahat I will use it again, buying a new cell phone will be a great deal, I have to very wise to spend money this day and all my friend number is on that phone. Don't worry it wold not happen to me because I will never bring my cellphone to toilet.

If it is very dirty already, I think I will let it go, prefer a new one.
