Funny, I'm posting this while i have some dinner...
Anyway, I hate, hate, HATE people who are too lazy to flush the toilet! Anywhere! It's right there! Why can't they pull the lever down and wait for a while to ensure that water's actually flowing then leave??
It seriously ticks me off, especially at home. My husband used to do this a lot, and he would do it as a prank. He would leave the toilet unflushed because he knows that I really mind. But I fear that it may become a habit. I went as far as writing on our bathroom wall, "FLUSH THE TOILET AFTER YOU USE IT!" To top things off, I think our house maid is doing the same thing. (barf barf barf). I've become stern, and actually yell when I find that the toilet hasn't been flushed.
How do I stop this insanity? Can I just put a lock on the toilet? Just a thought....

Omg...your husband is a cruel creature...hehehe...just kidding.
Maybe it's a bout time to have a serious talk for the whole family
about this thing. Tell them that you are feed up with thier un-
cooperativeness in keeping the toilet clean all the time. I just hope
they will listen to you.

LOL.. Yeah, actually I didn't think I'll need to talk to any of them because it's Supposed to be basic instinct. But unfortunately, that's not what's happening. I guess I will have to sit them down for a little talk about bathroom manners.

Barf x 10! I really apologize about the excessive water consumption, but there is no way i will be able to do that. They might as well really build an outhouse to really conserve water if that's the problem. But living in the city where water is in supply, i really encourage people to flush. Where is this place, by the way?

This is a matter of self discipline and personal hygiene.
I trained my kids as early as 2 years old the proper use of toilet.
yes,esp with toilet usage.
I don't like entering my toilet with **** on the bowl(ewww)
And,i don't like other people(visitor)to see such scene either.
So,i always told my kids to clean up their mess.
It is always good to train as early as we can for kids the proper use of toilet and have discipline too.
I think you should tell your family members the personal hygiene and cleanliness.
And that, they must participate and cooperate to maintain good hygiene inside home esp with the toilet.

Thanks for that. I'm trying to potty train my year and a half old daughter now. I hope she learns soon. As for my husband, he's not really lacking in hygiene. He just thinks it's funny to gross me out. ;p

LOL.. please don't. I'm keep showing him that I don't care, and just tell him to flush his mess away. Yeah he still laughs when he sees my face. You CANNOT bring this up with him because he might start all over again.. blechhh....

well if u have two washrooms in your home... keep one for yourself and the other for ur husband... lock ur one after using.... leave the other one for ur husband.. and tell him that it will remain the same... i'll not flush it... u have to do it at ur own... or pretend in front of ur husband that u r having a same habit... do this for one week and then see the results.. try to leave ur one him.. so that he'll realize it...

I never come accross this at my house- except the very rare occasion when there might be the odd remainder that didn't sink.... However at work I often come accross unflushed toilets, it is really nasty and I can see why you get so worked up about it. It is such a simple thing to do, so why "forget" to do it?
I think maybe your husband will give up doing it when you don't get mad about it infront of him- maybe thats why he is doing it, to get you wound up. If you don't respond the way he wants you to, maybe he will stop. Or maybe you could find something else to get wound up about so he can try and do that more often, just for fun ofcourse.
